YAY NO BRACES!
Have fun at Alex's! I was gonna go out and photo more, now that it's sparkly... but then I realised how cold it was.

YOU SHOULD COME OVER LIKE NOW.
Because I just got a cookbook. And it's awesome. It's Southern Living, and it's called "Incredible Chocolate Recipes" and I'm getting hungry just looking at it.
Soyeah [: You should come and we can bake!

ahh awesome! I'm so sorry that i never got around to talking about this weekend, but Kelly ended up coming home Friday and it really wasn't the best time to go anywhere. but DEFINITELY next weekend (we are so bad at getting together)!!!(?) of course, we would have to hope that we are both free, but don't make any other plans ;]
So today is the official beginning to our season (last weekend was a scrimmage, and i was the leading scorer! And i only played offense for half the game so i am pretty awesome ;]) and we have a double header. It's supposed to be so cold today! I am probably going to freeze so wish me luck! It's weird because our first team is Grady high school and they're from downtown Atlanta and we think they are going to be really ghetto, do you know anything about the demographics of that school?

I'm free next weekend [: My parents are going to be in Las Vegas but Tracy (my cousin) will be here, although I dunno necessarily -here- but, you know.
Ooh, good luck today! That's awesome about last week, too, so yay! I haven't spent actual time outside in ages... yeah, that's kinda lame.
Grady's from downtown? Really? I didn't know that. Well, in any case, the kids I know from Grady seem like the kids I know from everywhere else xD

oh cool! then I will try to see if next weekend will work.
-random- i think that when we finally go to a horse show this spring, and it's warm enough, we should dress up in cute little dresses and stuff just for fun
today's games were so fun. The first game we won 11-4 and i scored six of our goals! The second game we won like 14-0, which i think we should have not scored so much for sportsmanship's sake, but me and the other captain just sat back and let all the other girls who normally don't get goals or much action do everything, so it was good for the team's self esteem! I scored one just for the sake of scoring in that game, but other than that i was just running around doing nothing. IT WAS SOOOOOOO COLD TODAY! I froze to death just about!

I've been totally lazy about replying to this xD
Congratulations! That's great [:
And I KNOW. I keep meaning to take the puppies down to the river for photoshoot... but I can never get around to it! It's too cold even to step outside in the backyard!
LOL I love that idea! If only if was warm.... -sigh- Well, that, and I had a summer dress that wasn't too nice, or whatever. Well, anyway.

Yep that's good! Come whenever; I'll probably be home from school around 3:30 to 4ish.
YAY!
I got new brackets on today and they don't hurt nearly as much as I remember... good, right?
Also, I'm applying to be a peer leader next year at school and while it'll take me a long time to type up a real explanation of what that is, one of the questions is along the lines of 'how would someone who has known you for over a year comment on how you've changed whilst at Marist?' You've known me for several so I thought I'd ask [:

YEAH! i'll be over then anywhere between 4:30 and 5:00 just to make sure we both have time to get ready and everything. (by the way, I have been looking forward to "reading" your new chocolate cookbook, so that better be on the agenda! ;])
I apparently get my braces off in just a few weeks, so I am really excited about that. Plus, one of my teeth specialists has temporarily made my teeth bigger, so you may notice that :]
hmm, if anything I would say that i guess you like Marist more than you did public school. But I couldn't really give any specifics on why, considering we practically broke off all communication after 8th grade () but, you could make up ,my response if you wanted.
I can't wait to see you! ahahahahh! lol. Oh, I guess i have some big news for you, I am doing IB diploma for junior and senior year. I am a little uneasy, not because i don't think i can't do it, but because my mind is better suited for AP multiple choice and not so much geared for open ended questions and discovering why i got an answer and how do i apply it to every aspect of life... It should be interesting i guess, and Alex and Dana among a bunch of other people are doing diploma so I will be having every class with them. And next year for art, me and alex signed up for printmaking first semester which is going to be awesome! Then we are doing drawing and painting second semester, and AP 2D studio for senior year art!

YAY [:
Of course the cookbook is on the schedule! We're going to be cooking all night! And possibly walking/driving to Kroger approximately one-oneanda1/2 miles away to get ingredients, heh xD I love being within walking distance of a grocery store... it's so convenient!
You're lucky. Mine were supposed to be off in October/November but they're not. Anyway!
Nice response, heh. Yeah, I have some ideas... I know I've matured, of course xD I mean, maybe that's just because I'm older but WHO CARES. That's what I'm saying! That and I know I'm more responsible and all that kind of thing... actually I have changed a lot, now that I think about it. That's probably boring for you, though!
Well, I do hope your scheduling works out! I know it's not what you originally thought... but you'll be with friends, and often that matters way more than taking harder classes. Of course, I shouldn't be saying that. Colleges like harder classes. But WHATEVER. You'll do better when you can excel with friends, as opposed to trying without them
I shouldn't be advocating that, really.
I'm a bit of a COLLEGE ADDICT at the moment, really.
I have accounts at collegeboard.com and all its subsidiaries, princetonreview.com, so on and so forth, and I have two full inboxes of college spam, and a massive pile of propaganda on my floor that I have actually read through completely.
And, of course, I respond to EVERYTHING. I swear, I must be getting every version of the '3/5/7 Questions' (pick one) that's in existance!
I am a college addict at the moment, though.
Actually, it's kind of fun [:
I've always been afraid of the future, what I'm going to do for college and such... but lately I've been really, really into it.
Maybe it's because I derive great satisfaction from filling out forms (I really, really enjoy doing proofs... I know I'm weird xP), but lately I've been really thinking about what I'm going to do.
ANYWAY. That's probably really boring!
My schedule for next year looks like this:
Precal/Precal/Precal
English Lit/English Lit/English Lit
AP US History/AP US History/AP US History
Latin III/Latin III/Latin III
AP Theory/AP Theory/AP Theory
Religion/Physics/Religion
Journalism/Study Hall/Photography
AP Theory is AP Music Theory [: Alex was thinking it was like... philosophy, or something, before I clarified that - but it's not xD
Not really looking forward to APUSH, but it's required. Anyway, apparantly AP Euro with the lone AP Euro teacher Mr. Pearson is the key to life, the universe, and everything (not 42, contrary to popular belief!), and I'll be very glad I took it when I did - especially because it will make US x1253902385 easier.
And I have been waiting for the photography class for EVER. So glad it's coming, even if only at the end of the year.
Wow.
I just realised we had an in-depth conversation about academics.
That's just a little bit lame.
>.<
So back to the original point: CHOCOLATE COOKBOOK RULES. YOU'RE COMING OVER AND THAT SHALL BE AWESOME.

lets see, next year will be
-IB Physics SL for two years
-IB History of the Americas HL (2 year course, but technically, second year is called 20th Century History)
-IB Math HL (first year is precalc on 'steroids' as they like to call it. Second year is a mix of Calculus and Statistics)
-IB Spanish (technically I am taking Gifted Spanish III next year, and IB Spanish senior year, but it's really two years of IB Spanish)
-IB Language Arts HL for two years
-Theory of Knowledge (one year course, but apparently this teacher is God's gift to teaching. I heard this class is the greatest thing ever and that most people are really upset that it is only for one year)
those are the classes I will take for the next two years. HL means higher level, SL is standard level. You are required to take three HL classes because even IB which is supposed to be the 'highest level of courses offered' has higher level within it (so dumb...) And because Students on the diploma schedule have a block schedule for three periods of the day, we get 7 classes instead of six, so i get to take my art classes! (I'll explain our version of a 'block' better in person) So I get to take my two art classes (mentioned above) next year and the AP art senior year, and since I have to take one IB elective,I'll do either Psych or Information Technologies in a Global Society senior year since i won't have TOK (theory of knowledge)
yeah chocolate cook book!! I'm looking forward to that a lot. what all should i bring with me Friday? I figured I would definitely bring the laptop... should i bring the composition books? i filled up my last one and the new one i have going is awesome. Did you guys ever make that craft room that you were talking about?

I officially think your schedule is way more confusing than mine.
Theory of Knowledge sounds AWESOME. That kinda sounds like what AP Art History is for our school... we've actually got the best art history program in the country, no joke. The teacher is amazing - he's probably going to be my photography teacher next year too so that makes me very happy [: A lot of juniors in APUSH treat AP Euro as a life skills class, too, heh.
Definitely bring laptop, and composition books too!
Unfortunately no... but we DO have all the craft stuff in one room, though xD That room is the spare laundromat/kitchen/storage room/craft room, so very multipurpose, heh.

Haha, yeah, most of my classes last for 4 semesters!
That's weird, we have AP art history that Alex is taking and it is definitely about art... huh. The only thing i really know about TOK is that that is when we write our 4000 word extended essay on anything we want. I was really nervous about the paper until i learned that you can REALLY do whatever you want so I'll probably end up writing an essay on objectivism or Libertarianism (Not only are these topics deeply interesting and important to me, it will piss of the essay graders who are most likely extremely liberal )

strangled-utopia In reply to amaranthine-june [2009-02-26 12:19:23 +0000 UTC]
No, silly, AP Art History is exactly what it sounds like! What I meant was that it's like the end-all-be-all of classes anywhere, everywhere, no matter what. ever. under any circumstances.
/office reference
Anyway.
LOL
I love pick whatever topic essays... they're so much fun. But 4000 words really isn't that long, you know.
