hey man, i was wondering if you enjoy the military, i would like an honest answer. what are the good things and what are the bad things? im looking at joining the reserves, and i was wondering if you would still join if you could go back.

yeah. sorry about my last post, it got sent half way thru writing it, and I had to leave and it some how accidentally got sent. good things about the army are that if you've never been big into athletics or even staying in shape, the army can flick that switch and make it a part of your life, it really pushes you to do things that you friends will only be able to respond with "wow" to because they've never done it and likely never will, (and if they're in they're right mind, they may not want to 
the reserves is a good choice because it lets you get your feet wet a little without making any majour life altering changes to how you go about your everyday life. which is good. but, trust me, if you stay in it will completely alter your life and who you are. Once you're in, you can't ever really look at anything the same way again.
well. that's some deepness from me.
bad stuff is the obligatory sleeping in mud, sleeping in snow, sleeping in uddy snow, eating dog food, getting yelled at, being kept in shape by olympic level masochists, and the like. watch full metal jacket. laugh at full metal jacket. then take a second to imagine what it feels like to be on the receiving end. ouch.

do you actually have a 180 days once youre in to decide if it is for you. my friend was saying that, but i dont know. some jobs have that but i didnt know if that applies to the army.

180 days? i don't know about that. you can quit whenever you want, but the paper work takes a hella long time.during said time, unless you're a complete idiot and terrible at the job, you keep working.

damn straight I'm in the army, the canadian army, however, so you're probably not too confused about wether you're american or canadian. One thing I can say is that I've worked witht he army and marines a little bit, and I can say I'd much rather be in the army. rangers, most specifically. that is, if I was a yank, which I'm not. hope that helps. as for the airforce? it's not really an adventure unless you have a rifle in your hands and a rucksack on your back.

yeah, in the airforce ha! only the math geeks would be qualified because flying involves mathematics... haha if i join, i only get to be the cargo bay opener... boring! but at least i get to have a rifle for a boring job like that...

uhm, I've never seen any loadies carrying around rifles. and loadies do LOTS of math. and stacking. and re-stacking. (those door opener guys, as you so delicately put it, are called loadmasters, or loadies for short)
