I'm very glad that you approve! I've been kinda slacking in my photography, but I have one acc acquaintance getting married and a gig with my Aunt for portraits. So hooray; I will have a bunch of fun over the next month! I also hope to do a shoot with a friend of mine before she leaves for Prague for her summer internship. But we'll see if THAT happens, I'm still really shy about portraits. It seems like you're getting back into this whole DA nonsense, how's that?

We are going to have to figure out somewhere to go take pictures of stuff! I dunno what is out there over where you are. I kinda remember a paintball place north-west-ish of Cedar Park... So maybe you are around there somewhere? I dunno. I'm like 5 min from cyp acc, but I don't know that much in the Cedar Park area.
I don't make enough art to really spend much time here. Its always on and off whenever I happen to be bored and artsy. So like... uploads are months and months apart... or not at all. I'm not really painting now a days :/ got all the supplies and plenty of canvases (we could paint random stuff)... Just always end up doing something else. I really want to do some really massive paintings again that end up taking days of painting and listening to music!
And I'd do ceramics but I don't have access to a pottery wheel anymore :[...

I haven't gotten the chance to try your recipe, I've been short on time and cash lately, but it definitely sounds awesome. I've been to the Austin Homebrew place offa Burnet (that's where I got my carboys and bottles as well as the ingrediants for the Hoegaarden clone). Anyways, yeah, definitely as soon as I get a chance I want to start brewing again. I've got 2 glass carboys (6 and 5 gallon) and 24 - quart bottles with flip-caps dying to get used.

It's been a while. I haven't really spoken with Matt in a while...there was some...unpleasantness...so, meh.
Anyways, I've actually gotten into homebrewing lately. I made a Hoegaarden clone (white wheat with orange and courrander). I was planning on doing a mead next, so if you've got any tips or good recipies ^_^

Well, im taking a liking to oils, too bad they take so long to dry.
My green flame thing is turning out pretty good, i added some yellow/orange embers to it (and reflection) and am about to go over part of the back ground again. After that im pretty much out of ideas.
I need to think up more things to do to this storm trooper thing im painting too.
I wanna start another oil painting too so that ill constantly have something to work on.
I havn't really been focusing on strokes, just layering blends.

I just got 4 stretched and 2 on-a-board canvases to experiment with oils on. Should be alot of fun.
Last night i gessoed a piece of cardboard and did some green looking flame thing and blue background.
I hope it dosn't take too long to dry.

I did this thing in red sharpie last night at around 2-3am, took me ~45min, its a really distorted guy playing bongos, purely out of my immagination.

Today in drawing we had a nude model to do gestures of, in all we did about 30+, from 10s to 45m, to be honest, i though i wouldn't handle it as well as i did, but i guess im more mature than i had thought
I'm thinking about taking glass blowing...

We have started portraiture and i am having a hard time overall, first we do a gesture, then a second gesture that we build upon for the portrait. For some reason i get into some sort of "mode" and its hard to do a gesture of a face, i don't know whats with me. Also, i can do the right eye ok, but then i always mess up the left, we can't erase in this class, so i just have to keep turning pages. Perhaps ill upload some as scraps to show what i mean. In the mean time i want to work on this thing im doing, ill probably use colored pencil and pen. And on top of all this i have to do 5 portraits of friends and then one in the mirror self portrait.
We did the portraits in pairs, and the person always moved quite a bit, so that could be it, but i don't think that was all.

Well, i dropped the English Comp. because it was too far to drive, so far in drawing we are concentrating on surfaces and textures, the teacher is great.

I just got into drawing I and English composition I at a community college for over summer to better prep me for AP Studio Art my senior year!!! YAY!!!
