Hello there. I thought of not using MC in my future tf stories (exempt for villain tfs).Maybe the character would still remember his/her former life and enjoy his/her new one. What do you think?

This is a weird question, but what's your opinion on slight MC? (Ex: Slightly altered personality, New memories added along with the old ones, ect.) I personally think it's fine, I just don't like full MC because you're technically murdering someone.

I can't really respond to Basil9000 because he apparently blocked me, and I'm not sure what he means by "Excuse me?" because he deleted the entire conversation we were having.
Also, I have to admit that I find it very strange that people are so hostile towards me to expressing my opinion of what I read. I've said it elsewhere, but I hardly think it is offensive for me to take note of how blatantly horrifying many of the works I read are. That's not a slam on the works, really, because as far as I can tell they're meant to be seen as horrifying so I'm pretty sure my reaction to them is what is expected and desired. I mean, when people watch Hostel or Requiem for a Dream or the Human Centipede or Life is Beautiful they often talk about how terrifying or depressing or horrifying many of the scenes are or even the entirety of the film is and that's not seen as a bad thing, heck the entire point of most or all of them is to provoke that kind of reaction. So again, why is it unusual that I have that kind of reaction and why is it bad if I express my reaction? It's not like I'm going around yelling "THIS STORY SUCKS AND YOU SUCK FOR WRITING IT NOBODY SHOULD EVER WRITE THESE KINDS OF STORIES AGAIN AND YOU SHOULD DELETE YOUR STORIES AND YOUR ACCOUNT AND I HATE YOU FOREVER BECAUSE YOU SUCK".
Some people claim that they're upset with me because I react largely the same way to all of these, but 1. They all seem designed to provoke that kind of reaction 2. There is at least one other user who only ever reacts with "great job!" or "great story!" or the like and absolutely nothing else regardless of what happened in the story or what the quality of the writing was. If I am getting blocked and criticized simply because others feel that I am being repetitive with my comments, then why does nobody ever do the same to those people? Why is it bad if "all [my] comments are about this" but it isn't bad if someone else's comments are also all the same?

First off, he said "Excuse me" over a week ago, and through that week, he's learned enough about you not to want to talk anymore. Maybe you shouldn't wait so long to reply to comments!
Also, you see users who only ever say "great story" as no more hate-deserving than you, but let me tell you something: talking about how dark and depressing MC is really has little more to do with the story than a compliment or piece of actual feedback. There's really a difference between a quick little compliment and a preaching about mind wipe, which I'll admit you do connect to the story, but at this point, it has literally nothing to do with the quality of the writing, and hardly even the story anymore if you're doing it THIS MUCH.
I understand your intentions and all, I really do, but nobody else will if you have over 200 comments of what appears to be a massive distaste for the practice of MC. I know it's not, but no one else will if, like, one or two of your comments mention the good in MC. And they always have the most obvious points about it thrown out, with no real feedback and despite the fact that you're bringing up examples from the story, it's hard to see that past what just looks like an anti-MC movement.
The point I'm trying to make is this: if you think MC is dark, that's fine. If you want to comment on how dark and unsettling it is in a story that's anything but, expect a BIT of backlash from the creator, but go ahead. But if you're going to preach about it in over a hundred of these stories in the way I've established, we won't see what the comment is really saying, and you shouldn't be too surprised to be seen by many as a borderline troll.

Quote from Ex Machina describing Mind Wipe:
"He's gonna reprogram your AI. Which is the same as killing you."

Well, yes. I haven't seen Ex Machina but it's not really an original or difficult concept.
By the way, is Ex Machina any good? I keep seeing advertisements for it.

Ex Machina is… interesting, I'll say. It's very quiet, very slow-paced, but I think what it does have in its story, characters, and themes make it worth watching.

I find you endlessly entertaining in your comments sir. You seem very against the idea of identity death, so if I may ask, what if someone became a girl and started to like boys more?Acquire female characteristics simply because they were now female? Change their name, make up a new life, is that identity death?

Well, if they kept their memories and the transformation itself didn't blatantly and dramatically alter their mind in order to make them feel the way they do, then no that would not be identity death. It would still likely qualify as brainwashing if it was done to them against their will, but it would not be full-blown identity death.
However, if they kept their old memories, willingly transformed themselves, and said transformation didn't instantly and dramatically changed their personality in the process (though a slow, "natural" change that was the result of new body circumstances that they found themselves in could be fine), then I don't see anything morally objectionable about it.
Basically, if it is the equivalent of gender reassignment surgery, then I don't have an issue with it. If it is the equivalent of the stuff from "Dollhouse" then I'd consider it morally reprehensible.

you know, I have to agree with
The first one or two comments about Amanda and Karen were fun, but after you started to spam me with the same message over and over again, i start to get annoyed.
It's just a goddamn story/caption I've written for god's sake. Nothing more, nothing less. If you don't like it then don't read it!

The issue I am having that the people that are writing these kinds of horror stories don't seem to realize that they are horror stories. They seem to think that the biggest monsters in the stories are the Good Guys, which is all kinds of messed up.
I'm trying to point that out to the authors and readers of said stories since they seem to be oblivious to that. It's kinda terrifying, to be honest: The completely twisted perspective they seem to have on the situations involved.
Again, it would be one thing if the people reading and writing these stories were like "This is horrifying, and intentionally so", but a lot of people are like "Yeah! Hooray for murder and mind control and disproportionate retribution in general!".

That... didn't really fix anything. You just said something completely different from what I said and pretended that was what I said all along.

As much as that is true and I understand your position, a lot of people disagree with you on that point.
And tbh I'm tired of getting your comments about all this. So please, just do me a favor and just don't read my stories, if they are that horrifying for you!

The issue I have isn't with TG in general, it is with all these stories with Esoteric Happy Endings where the writers and readers seem to root for the biggest monsters in the works without seemingly realizing that they are in fact the bad guys.
I just don't see what is wrong with pointing out the obvious, especially since it doesn't seem to be obvious to so many of the people involved. Hell, it actually seems necessary at that point, since the people involved seem to be acting and commenting in ignorance, because I can't figure out any reason that they would praise the actions of the Complete Monsters or ignore the horrible deaths of the characters in question besides that they didn't actually think about what was actually happening in the stories they are reading.

Maybe this is something you don't get, I don't know. The reason we have bad guys that get away with it is because in a sexual situation we enjoy having someone appear as a bad guy by turning the character into a girl. This is because then the person changed can enjoy their new bodies without fear of guilt by simply saying:
“Well it's his fault, he made me this way.”
Thats why we have unpunished bay guys. At a basic level, it helps the thing between our legs enjoy itself.

...Oh.
Huh. That... actually kinda makes sense.
That actually really explains, well... everything, I guess. I mean, I still find the whole thing disturbing myself but that really does explain a lot of the stuff relating to them that really confused me.
Thanks for the explanation! And sorry it took me so long to read and respond to this.
Now I have to think a bit on what to do with this information because while now I have a logically explanation for what I was seeing I am not yet sure how to respond to it intellectually and emotionally.
