some things you should know:
1) Llama badges are just little tokens of appreciation you can give to and receive from people
2) (i think you know what this means, but) "watching" people does not mean stalking, it just means that if they post artwork or a journal, you'll receive it in your messages
3) Join groups! joining is fairly straight-forward, just click "join group" and (sometimes) you don't even have to say why you want to join
4) To get cool emotes or other little smilies in your comments, type ": icon (insert word/phrase here) plz :" but without the spaces
