My group narutofanclub is currently running a Valentines + Year of the Dog Contest. If you are interested here are the details:
February Valentines Contest - Year of the Dog Love2018 is the year of the Dog so the theme of our contest would be Valentines + Dogs/Canines ! Any entries depicting Valentines + Dogs/Canines will be considered!
Also we are looking for prize donors so as early as now let us know if you'd like to donate prizes!
As an added bonus If you have a favorite Naruto/ Boruto Group We'd like to collaborate with them for a Valentines Themed Contest!
For example if there is an Ino/Itachi group out there and they are also holding a Valentines Contest then entries for their contest would be compiled along our group's (narutofanclub) contest as long as the entries have dogs! That way exposure for both the groups and the entries will be maximized! So For group founders please feel free to reach out to me if you will hold your valentines contest within February 1 to February 28!

P.S.: I have some news. Started working yesterday on a SasuNaru drawing with holidays dedication, finiched the sketch and the lineart after almost 5 hors, and before saving it, the program just crashed. I actually cried for the next 2 hours. I have to start it again and I... I really feel like I spent an entire year building a house, someone came and destroyed it and now I have to start again. I always ask myself why me..
P.P.S. I know I should have saved it earlier, like save it from 10 to ten minutes and stuff, but something like this never happened to me before. I'm trying to motivate myself and restart it now. Jesus, these days passed so quickly. Doesn't even feel like Christmas anymore. I hope your Christmas was better though

But I'm proud of you that you try it again. That's all we can do after such a worst case scenario, rebuild from scratch. It shows that you've got the right spirit. This time best make copies every 5 minutes.

I used to be sick every year on Christmas, but it seems that this year was awful enough until now, so sickness has been excluded. It would've been too damn much, LOL.
I'm currently working in that drawing. I hate being late, and now, instead of writing "Merry Christmas" on it I will just write "Happy Holidays, or whatever. Tch, but even Holidays are already over -.-
I'm at the coloring stage right now, at the beginning. Ugh. I'm also a perfectionist so I do it very slowly. I can't stand mistakes.

Don't worry, whenever you'll finish that drawing it'll be fine. Many artists don't make it in time and just post it a little later. A beautiful drawing always remains a beautiful drawing, no matter whether the cause it should be posted for has already passed or not. It's the intention which counts and your hard work.
I still have to do a short thank you drawing for 30k views, but I couldn't manage to do so yet. I'll just do it later and hope people still will like it.
Hm, did you ever hear of the maxim: "Finish, not perfect!"? It's a good rule, I think.

I really wish I can make a perfect drawing now, even though I have many more to do. I promised a lot of stuff, I also said that this year I need to try some other art styles too (even if it's not SasuNaru, but something to help me develop for real, when it comes to skills). SasuNaru will always remain the story buried in the depths of my soul.
And yes, 2016 has been the year I opened my eyes and saw every horrible thing around me and next to me. It was hurtful as hell. I don't know about 2017 but if the war with the one that gave birth to me will still continue like this, I sense an end like Sasuke and Itachi ( the only difference is that Itachi wasn't actually evil, but my mom is). Jeez... complicated.

Don't worry, you'll finish your drawing some day and you'll even have your perfect drawing some day.
Don't worry about promises, they tend to fail. I think people can relate to that. But it's good to set aims.

I don't agree that the story of Naruto isn't helpful, it contains a lot of wisdom, like that it's better to work together than against each other. It translates the thought of tolerance which really is important for this world. Whoever says it's just silly stuff is judging it surficially and doesn't know the manga or the series at all. Many people have the opinion that comics are just stuff for kids, but if you investigate, you'll see that most comics aren't even concepted for kids. That includes Naruto, the manga deals with serious stuff like death and sacrifice, loneliness, false pride, wrong decisions and their consequences and also the worth of true friendship. That's why I love the manga and the series so much.
Often it's painful to open your eyes, but once accustomed to the light you'll see much better and thus can avoid collisions.
I feel sorry for you that you have to deal with so much hardship. Maybe it will be helpful to just break contact and leave the things behind you that make you suffer. It helped in my case. It may be hard at the beginning, but sometimes it's the only way to come at ease and I think you'll need to come at ease a bit right now. You deserve it.
Also relatives you break with may be mad first, but after a while they'll start to think about their own behavior and maybe eventually will give in. Nobody wants to be shut out after all.
But you have to decide that by yourself, dear. Can't really give you any advices here.

Well, I'm quite old, thus my life experience. It's not really a secret, I just don't shout it out loud. I don't consider thigs as age so important. The most important thing about people is their attitude towards life. That's what I've learned.
You can't avoid hardship in life, but you can learn out of it and try to help others in similar situations. That's what I'm always trying to do. It's kind of second nature to me, I guess.

I made such an experience with one of my relatives, not as close as your's, but close enough and also stubborn, unforgiving, one-sided and unreasonable. I broke up with them and remained hard for over a year and then something happened that we talked again and forgave each other. I never would have expected it from that person to give in, but it happened. So there still may be hope for your mom. Though I know that narcissists can be a very hard deal. But after all it bugs them to lose control over somebody they care for, even if it's in a selfish way. Just ignore her and remain hard, that may change her mind.
