I would reply, but I've been blocked.
Because it would've ruined the mystery. Why not ask someone who works on the show or something?
The show is also 22 minutes long, where would they fit it?
They just wanted to back RD up when she inevitably fails from her attitude, she did all the other idiocy on her own. They didn't want her to stop, they just wanted to offer assistance without drawing attention to themselves because they didn't want fame and so on.

Ruined the mystery? That's your justification for bad out-of-writing? If you can't write a good story without making all the characters look bad, then maybe the story isn't work writing.

No, I meant that it would ruin the mystery for us. The need for MDW is immensely simple. If it wasnβt anonymous, the lesson is no good. The point is that the action is more important than the person, which is what Dash forgot. There was no cruelty or malice in their actions, they praised someone else, all within the confines of their own skill sets, and they made sure to reveal their deception in a back alley to spare Dashβs reputation. I have yet to see a good reason for all the hate this episode gets. They didnβt provoke her to due anything. They showed her how a hero should act, and saved lives she would have failed to save because she was bragging. As soon as they saw she was taking it too far, the scene after the dam, they arrange to come clean in a back alley. The huge amount of accidents were added to make the story work, and were actually lampshaded later on when Dash complained about not being able to find a disaster when she needed one, so I think we can give that one a pass.
And it's not out of character writing, people are just being overly defensive about towards RD because she's the favorite. The thing is, you could literally use the mentality on any episode. Here, watch:
"I think that the cake on a train episode has an out ot character Fluttershy because she would never eat a cake because it's not a nice thing to do and she's the element of kindness and she's my waifu."
But seriously, I got to get some sleep. See ya later. Or maybe never.

The mystery doesn't mean shit to me if it means sacrificing the characters personalities. What is wrong with giving her the freaking benefit of the doubt and actually trying to talk to her? Half my problems with this episode would be eliminated if they'd bothered to try. And don't give me that nonsense that it wouldn't work. We don't know that it wouldn't work because they never bothered to try. They just jumped straight to humiliation, which should NEVER be the first option when trying to teach a person lesson.

I'll just say this one more time. They didn't humiliate RD. Not once did they ever do that. All they did was save lives, and leave. Rainbow humiliated herself.
That's it, I'm done, I'm going to bed, and never replying.
