Huh.... I think I remember you...! From one of my old accounts. But maybe I'm mistkan.

Perhaps you are not, but it proves itself a challenging task to remember you through your new account. What would your old account have been, then?

I see, I do recall your astounding work but I fear we've never talked much, unfortunately.
Pray tell, what brought you to my web-infested page in the first place? Pure curiosity or random deviant?

Actually, I don't remember exactly how I found you... maybe it-oh! It was on the blank journal that sebychu posted, I think. And I saw your avatar and I was like... seems familiar! So I dunno, I decided to be obnoxious and be like, "Hey! I remember you."

Ah, I see. I'm by no means complaining, it just seemed kind of odd to receive a visitor after this much time without proper activity. And I'm glad you decided to be curious about me, if nothing else, it gave us this conversation.
So, have you been working in any news projects, if you don't mind me asking?

bumble-boo In reply to chaotic-wizard [2009-11-10 00:38:11 +0000 UTC]
Hehe, how come you've been inactive? Very busy?
Uhmm...well I have a lot of projects for school and stuff, I might have something to post when I finish it tonight.. which hopefully won't be at a retarded hour (though knowing me...).

Insanely so, yes. But it isn't only that, really. In-between art blocks I realised I didn't really aspire to be a great artist, I don't think I would have much of a future in it. As a hobby, perhaps. But I turned myself to the wonders of the written language and its potential. I've been using all little free time I have to try and improve in that unstable realm. Add to that roughly four different open projects and you have your reason.
I see. I look forward to seeing your latest works. I'll have to remember getting some time to re-favourite your earlier ones too.

Well, fair enough! Writing is an art form as well. Sometimes I feel like I don't have any free time either - my course is pretty demanding. But luckily, it is an art course so I am still drawing, just not a lot of my own personal stuff.
I just finished my assignment this morning, but I haven't had time to scan it yet, and I had to hand it in, so it'll be a couple weeks before I can upload it.
π: 0 β©: 1
chaotic-wizard In reply to bumble-boo [2009-11-11 15:40:20 +0000 UTC]
Indeed it is.
I understand. My course has no close relation to my writing and, in fact, sucks the time I could spend writing. But I like it and I refuse to elude myself into thinking that my writing alone will sustain me. I don't care much about money, but the world does.
Oh, don't worry. I'm sure it will be as good when you upload as it would have been if you had submitted yesterday. I'll be waiting, nonetheless.

That's too bad! I am lucky in that I kind of am doing what I like, though it's going to be hard to make a living from it. What course are you in?
Hehe, hopefully... my teacher had some criticisms about it that I agree with now that I look at it! But making errors is how we learn.

I do like my course a lot, don't get me wrong. I study Japanese language and I have some certainty that what I can do in translation (among other things) will give me the financial stability to write freely. Someday.
Indeed it is. It is always good to have some feedback in our works. When you are able to upload, I'll try to get some time to comment on it.

Well, that's good! It's important to like what you're doing, even just a little bit.
No problem if you can't! I know sometimes it's hard for me to think of what to say when I look at a picture for some reason...

It is indeed. And, in a related note, I must apologise and explain my delay in replying: two months ago I was chosen, along with a friend, to represent my state in the finals of the 15th Japanese Speech Contest. I live in BrasΓlia (capital city of Brazil) and the finals were in SΓ£o Paulo. I was away for almost three days, which should explain the disappearance. Before you ask, I did not win (although my friend got second place), but I had no great hopes nor am I sad for it. The level of all participants was quite high and the experience was unique. I'll probably try again next year.
Well, my problem would lie only on a time management conundrum, really. I have quite the critical mind and I'm known for supplying in-depth comments and analysis to anyone who so requires (and sometimes, even for those who don't, sadly). If so you wish, I'll try to do the same with your future work. If not, that's quite all right too.

No problem! I understand people have lives. I kinda do, too. Only sort of though, haha. That's cool! Well, congratulations to your friend! It's good that it was a unique experience though.
Well, I do enjoy critical comments, if you ever have time or feel like dropping me one, it's always appreciated!

Thank you for understanding. And I must say I don't usually have much of an active life either. This was a "once in a life time" thing. Although I'll try to put more effort into it next year or, perhaps, the following year (since I've won this year's regional contest, I won't be able to participate next year in the same category, which may force me to postpone it one year).
Well, I'll so do whenever I feel I have something useful to say, then.

You're always welcome. I must apologise for not commenting properly, considering the superb work with lighting and the composition. Also, the dragon has an organic look that enhances the realism.
Great work.

What does Raziel mean by "a secret told unde a rose one that stays secret" is that a foreing saying translated into english?
π: 0 β©: 1
chaotic-wizard In reply to jiancarlos [2009-06-30 18:35:02 +0000 UTC]
No, I should believe it is mere poetic symbolism. The image brings Raziel holding a rose, perhaps the poem only reinforces the idea that he is the angel of secrets.

lol i don't what happened to me but after getting bitch slapped by Raziel i got it lol now i remember there is something about a secrect society i think from spain, and i am pretty sure they'll were sword masters that their symbol was the rose and used usually a red rose. Anyway thanks very much for showing me the first step, i hobe i did not annoy you too much XD

I think you mean the Society of the Rose Cross. Could be. It is a Christian-related society after all (even if a rebellious one at that).
You're welcome. It's no trouble at all.

You. You are good artist. You like Evil Egg. I are Evil Egg's friend. And kinda nuts...
Umm... So to the point, I'm working on a comic book idea, and Evil Egg told me that you were an artist and that I should ask you if you were interested in doing it.
So in a typical Kitten957 fashion I'm here leaving a comment that makes VERY LITTLE sense and will be waiting for your reply!
((I was too lazy to send a note.))

chaotic-wizard In reply to Kitten957 [2009-02-20 17:42:38 +0000 UTC]
Well... hello.
First of all, thank you for adding me to your watch list.
If you would be as kind as to give me a general idea of what this comic book might be about, I could then give you a more decisive response. And even though I will not take this conversation as a opportunity to, once again, claim my lack of skill in drawing, I must say that I would most likely take too much time to do each page, probably discouraging you to continue.
But if you, despite all that, still want my help. I am glad to hear your plans and support you as best as I can.

It involves elves/human war in the near(ish) future. There are seven races at war (one for each of the Seven Deadly Sins), but the focus of this story is the elves and humans (I don't remember what they represent, but my notes are somewhere).
It's sorta a dark love story. If you're interested in doing it, I'll wait for it, because no one else will bite (or are working on their own comics, or they want scads of money)

Interesting... If you would pardon my honesty, the general idea strikes to me as being a bit clichΓ©, for now. But I am sure you have ideas to make it unique.
I am indeed interested, even though I am working on my own projects as of now. To make it all official, you could send me a note (to increase privacy over your creation) with the thorough descriptions of the main characters, in order for me to try to picture them in character sheets and send them to your approval. Once we do that, I believe you could start sending me the chapters or whatever you may have planned.
And I would really like if you could indulge me more profoundly on the main story, to help me get used to the concepts and events of the plot.
I do apologise if I seem to be pressuring you.

If you're working on your own projects, I won't bother you. There are several artists suddenly interested. I'm actually surprised.
I'm sorry for bothering you.

chaotic-wizard In reply to Kitten957 [2009-02-21 21:06:02 +0000 UTC]
Oh, you're no bother.
And if perhaps you ever return to a position where I could be of assistance to you, by all means bear no shame to ask.
My projects are all book ones and they tend to progress quickly and almost without my conscious help, leaving me plenty of idle time.
I must thank you for considering me as a capable artist, and I do hope you will not overlook me if ever you are in need of one again.

Hi. I'm sorry for my complete lack of update and general active absence on the site. This will change once I complete a few projects from which the offspring will be presented here. I am giving myself the objective of becoming completely invisible here until I force myself to post my works.
I'm sorry. You will see my updates at the end of this year, undoubtedly.
