Want you to know that you are amazing & you're my friend until my death.
If I don't get this back, I understand. But, I have a game for you, once you read this letter, you must send it to 15 people, including the person that sent it to you .
If you receive at least 3 back, you are loved. Nobody knows how important something is until...................they lose it.
Tonight, right at 12:00a.m., the person you like is going to realize that they love you!
Then, something is going to happen to you between 1:00 & 2:00a.m. Be ready for the greatest shock of your life.
If you break this chain, you, you are going to have bad luck with love for a whole year. Send this to 15 people and see what happens ♥♥♥

I can't begin to explain my adoration of a well-crafted Steampunk/ Cyberpunk style.

Maybe the facts will speak for themselves here?

I almost always find myself in the world of steampunk related drawingings / 2-dimensional artwork, simply for the length of freedom given to the artists to accurately portray the closest version of their artisic vision - because of their chosen medium.

So when a person, somewhere in the world, an artist - brings their vision into reality in a 3-D sense such as jewelery or clothing, and doesn't over-do it so it is ACTUALLY functionable in real society ....

It's my honour to express my admiration of you through you being the first "3-D artist" that I am watching.
and possibly the last for a long time.

Keep the fire alive!

Hello! thanks for your comment. I'd suggest if you can take some basic jewelry making courses its a good start. Don't buy little "grab baggies" (usually sold by the ounce) of watch parts. They are often wayyy to small to use. Ask family and friend's families if they have old watches or keep an eye out at garage sales. some older wind-up clocks are great. Buy a good set of mini screwdrivers if you take apart wrist watches: worth the investment.

Nikuda In reply to clockwork-zero [2011-04-15 21:09:56 +0000 UTC]

cool! okay well my mom's wrist watch broke off from the leather and so i get to dismantle it! Problem is... there are no screws, and wind knob thingy, and its completely smooth. Should i just break the clear plastic part and dismantle it from there?

clockwork-zero In reply to Nikuda [2011-04-18 13:34:52 +0000 UTC]

usually there is a metal plate in the back that has a nearly impossible to find edge. slip a tiny screwdriver along the edge and lever it up. Unless it is solid plastic the backs come off so the battery can be replaced. Unless it is a very old watch (pre-1980s) you won't find too much inside, alas. There were a few windup watches made after the 1970s but most had batteries.

Nikuda In reply to clockwork-zero [2011-04-18 21:51:38 +0000 UTC]

Omg!! The watch's inside is so tiny! But a bit dissapointing, there are barely any gears i could use. Though when i find bigger gears and can just use the little ones as an extra too! I was thinking of doing a sort of steampunk decorating with the gears and such on frames of pictures, pens, ect. and if i get good (with more parts) I think i'll try steampunking my ds and computer xD. Thanks for advice, once i find more broken clocks and such, i'll definitely show ya what i've come up with!

clockwork-zero In reply to Nikuda [2011-04-19 14:02:32 +0000 UTC]

great! I know - the newer watches have such tiny bits. but hey - you can always put them in a bottle or something and make that into a pendant!

Hello, I love your creations. I want to make a steampunk watch like [link] but I'm not sure how to make it. How do I attach the jewelry to it? Do I take apart a watch to make this?

Glad to hear your back online (FYI is your processor up to speed? Make sure it's not over clocked. Too much memory. Not enough speed from the processor?) Have had that problem before. Good luck & hope to see more of your work [link]
