Hello !
I just found you in the Conlangers group and I saw your gallery.
Well, first of all, it's incredible! You're really talented for this
Now, I saw you have been working in a Minecraft world that works like a country where they speak your conlang. This is great! I have been doing the same thing with a friend xD. We started our world 3~4 years ago (It has 2 countries and 2 conlangs) and this is the first time I find someone doing the same.
Just wanted to let you know... if you want to talk about it someday, we could share ideas or something (?).
See you !

I saw you were Venezuelan and I need to practice my Spanish, so sorry if my Spanish is bad.(You have no idea how bad foreign language programs are in US schools).

Sorry, I just read you...
Let's see your answers xD :
1. Yes, Wikipedia helps a lot, especially with the IPA and grammar things. Just in case you were wondering, I haven't uploaded anything about my conlangs to DeviantART, it's kind of a personal project (I could talk about it but I don't want to make it 100% public... at least, yet xDD).
2. I love your map! To be honest, I rarelly play on servers (first of all and just between us, my MC version it's not the "legal" one; I could play with it on a server but I don't want to get someone in trouble). I could try later but as I have already said, I won't be able to be online everyday or long enough to help you, sorry for this :/
3. Yes, I'm from Venezuela. Don't worry, your Spanish it's good [and better than my English xDD]. If you want to practice it would be great to help you (I love natural languages as much as I love conlangs!)

1. Why don't you wanna make it public?
2. Thanks. I don't think playing on peoples servers without buying it will get them in trouble.
3. Thanks again. My dad's from Mexico and I was born there too, but he rarely ever speaks to me in Spanish yet still expects me to be fluent in it.

I'm sorry, we have a little difference between time zones xDD
1. Well, to shorten the story, we started with two simple languages and now we have this Minecraft world with 3 or 4 parallel stories and some more friends involved (I mean, we could write a book with all the ideas used for the map or to make the countries more realistics). So I would say it's because of copyright... Ok no, I'm kidding xD but there's a LOT of things and it would be hard to see where to start uploading and because we're all friends it could have some personal info so I would have to read everything to see it's OK to make it public... maybe one day I will xDD.
2. Actually, I doubt it too, but some people could think so or at least they might be upset if they find it out... so, in order to avoid discussions (and, as I said, I prefer to play in single player) I don't usually play on servers
3. Oh xDDD. I guess he's one of those who think that you have more than enough with the school :/ Don't worry we can agree to practice in some way . ¡Será genial!
Wow, I write too much... can you see any error there? xD

1. Sounds interesting. My friends think that conlangs are weird. xD
2. I don't think I've played on a server for about a year.
3. He knows the school isn't enough but, he's just around English all the time so he speaks it all the time. I can't really blame him.
I don't see any errors

1. I'm sure they think so too, but I talk a lot about it so they have no other choice but to listen to me... and by the end that gets their attention xDDD
2. I see, so this idea of making Earth in minecraft is brand new? Or do you planned it first and then said "Let's move it from papers/notes to the game!"?
3. Entiendo, pero viendo tu comentario anterior en español, me parece que tienes un buen nivel . Maybe one or two details ("puedo añadirte a mi server de Minecraft cuando lo terminE", subjunctive
) but hey, It's really good and I have heard Spanish is a little hard for foreigners...

No the idea isn't new, but the only one I found of it only had pre-1.7 biomes (no savanna or mega spruce taiga) and it was jagged and rough with holes throughout the landscape because they took in the satellite data without smoothing it or touching up, so the one I made seems to be the nicest so far.
Oh, it is in the subjunctive. That's my worse part in Spanish. "when I finish it" was the one phrase I had to look up and it said "cuando lo termine." but I thought it sounded weird, and Google Translate isn't always right, so I changed it.

I see, well I'm looking forward to your project, I'm sure it will be great!
Yes, after "cuando.../tan pronto como.../después (de) que..." we use the subjunctive, so:
"Cuando lo terminE" (when I finish it) = "Tan pronto lo terminE" (As soon as I finish it) = "Después de que lo terminE" (After I finish it)
You could also change it to "cuando esté terminado/cuando esté listo" = "Tan pronto esté terminado/listo" = "Después de que esté terminado" or even -easier- "Después de terminarlo".
Don't worry xDD. La práctica hace al maestro*
*"Practice makes perfect". Literally, we say "(The) practice makes the master/teacher"

Thanks. I've been conlanging since I was 12(I'm 16 now) and my first languages were very rudimentary, but over time I've gotten better thanks to wikipedia.
The computer I had the world on got corrupted so I lost the world. I'm building a Minecraft version of Earth that I'll open up a server on here -> ianmartinez.deviantart.com/art… and I think the area were Iseren will come from will be near Kugaaruk in Northeastern Nunavut(on the mainland). I'll publish a picture of the area on here soon.

I think you made a mistake, the most recent conlang you are working on is siilek, but on some of your art you put siileg instead of siilek, what's the diffrence?

I changed the conglang and I changed its name to fit the change.

Is Isren and siilek polysynthetic? (Sory if I spell ur conlangs wrong)

conlangs In reply to forester10 [2014-05-05 01:49:40 +0000 UTC]
Neither of them are polysynthetic. Siilek is more synthetic than Iseren though.
English: I eat it.
Iseren: Díina náa gatáangang./Gatáangganghláaxál. (Iseren can cliticize pronouns like spanish, but also on finite verbs, e.g. "tiene que irese")
Siilek: Sałsh hú.
