No problem. As my webcam profile box indicates, I'm a big fan of that moment. Great work!

Morning, my friend, how goes it?
I was just wondering, out of curiosity, if you had seen the J.J. Abrams/Steven Spielberg joint project "Super 8?"

No I've not seen that. I don't think it's been released here. I know relatively little about it. I get a bit of a 'Close Encounters' kind of feel from what I've seen.

Now, when you say "some dark tower," are we talking about a multidimensional gateway to the worlds of Stephen King that also houses Lovecraftian abominations and questing knightly cowboys?

You know it started as any old dark tower, but the concept was so intriguing that I don't think I could imagine it as anything else.

Care to take a look at my recent film reviews of Alien, Aliens, the Korean remake of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and Cloverfield?
Oh, and I'm also currently working on a top ten countdown of my favourite video games. You might like some of the selections, being a Half-Life and Batman fan.

I will have a look at those. The Korean remake sounds interesting. I do find Korea to be making the most interesting developments in the film industry at the moment.
Great to hear you're a fan of such excellent games. I don't suppose you've played Heavy Rain or L.A. Noire yet?

GamemasterFel In reply to countevil [2011-06-13 19:51:59 +0000 UTC]
Sadly, not Heavy Rain, I do not have access to a PS3. I've been toying with the idea of getting one, if there are any other games besides Metal Gear and Heavy Rain worth getting. I've been wanting to try the Kingdom Hearts games to see what all the fuss is about, but my cynicism tells me that series is nothing more than an embodiment of every anime and Square Enix stereotype I despise.
As for L.A. Noire, I have that, at least. I do plan to write a review about it.
And trust me, the Korean remake exemplifies everything I believe a good remake should be. Similar in plot structure, theme and character, but still its own unique individual entity.

I do like Stephen King, but it wasn't any particular dark tower I mention. They're all good

Yeah, I knew where it came from. I just like
the way you "Croped" it for use as your latest
avatar.
I sure like that photo you have of the great
V.P. & Kermit! I remember that episode on the
"Muppet Show" when "V.P." was the guest host and the
"Muppets" Made a special "creature-puppet" for V.P. ...
A few years later, Mr. Price was a guest on the Jonny Carson
Show and so was Kermit! V.P. was on the couch and talking to
Mr. Carson, and this special "Muppet-Creature" poped-up and
said: "Hello Vincent...", and Mr. Price turned and answered:
"Well hello (so-'n-so)" The Creature said: " I missed you so
much Vincent"! Mr. Price said: "Me Too...Say (so-'n-so), could
you get me a nice warm cup of blood?" (With that great voice of his)...

That was a great episode of the Muppets. The very best bit was when they got vincent to do a song at the end with all the horror themed muppets. I'll always remember it I've heard rumours after David Bowie saw it he requested that he got a similar thing in Labyrinth when he made it with Henderson (Hence 'Magic Dance').
He had a great voice, if you've never heard it seek out 'The Price of Fear' his radio series. It's very creepy but I love going to sleep listening to it on the radio.

Even M.Jackson used his great voice in the classic "Thriller".
Disney used it for the "host" In "Haunted Mannor" in Europe...
Lets not forget his wonderful laugh!
I really Liked David Bowie in "Labyrinth"! He was so cool in that!
"Magic Dance" was very fun. Bowie looked so great!
Yes...Vincent Price sure could tell a story! You and I are on the same "wave"...
What song did Vincent Price do on the "Muppet Show"? I forget what it was.

He sung 'You've got a friend' [link]
If you saw the episode on DVD you may have missed this because I hear it was cut (stupid copyright). Real shame, this is the best bit! It's the sort of thing I can imagine he'd have had playing at his funeral
