I went to a software shop and found version 6, 7 and 8. Which one do you use? Unfortunately my computer has 4 years. ;D

cowleyduck In reply to MicioGatta [2011-08-13 16:29:48 +0000 UTC]
I use 7, 8 has issues with compatability with older computers. I'd say 7 is prob best, 6 is good but may be cheaper.

Have you ever used Sketchup? I've just got it, and I'm wondering if it's easy enough to use.

cowleyduck In reply to Linkin-Dreamer [2011-06-30 15:10:22 +0000 UTC]
Hi sweetie I use sketch up for my direct model manipulations, then I take em to poser and play with them, texture etc,
but its pretty good
deleting prisims and extra faces etc
I tend to do a line drawing and use sketch up to make it 'real'
I drew a basic shran deuling blade then used the pull tool to make it 3d, the warehouse is epic and you can export to 3ds on the pro version, if not babel 3d [link] converts them to obj and 3ds for use in other programes
also the warehouse of sketchup files is epic,
hope this helps sweetie

I was a bit scared cos there's a lot of people there that are massively brilliant model makers and I'm not that good, I mean I only just worked out how to make the poses, but they seem to be going down well now

Practise is all you need. I've only been working in CGI for about 8-9 years? Just time and practise.

I've been using Poser since P5. I still use Photoshop Elements 2- it does all I need. Ever got any questions on poser, ask and I'll try to help.
