Oh, wow! Awesome!! That journal entry of mine is actually extremely old...back in 2008, I believe. I kind of suck at updating my entries. Haha. I'm actually in California right now, finishing up my freshman year at Stanford (literally - today was our last day of classes). I come back home this Friday! But yes, I went to Kamehameha Schools, so I was right across from you guys.

I just skimmed through your art, and IT IS AMAZING! So glad you got into Avatar, because it is easily the best cartoon (I almost don't like calling it that because it's so good) I've ever seen.

Ah...that's pretty neat. I've always wanted to visit the Caribbean islands...

I'm mixed about the movie. I mean, the original is always the best, you know? Movie adaptations never do the original justice. Still, it should be interesting, and I'm trying to keep an unbiased opinion about it. I'll definitely watch it, but I'm sure it will not even come close in comparison to the cartoon. And I want to see how Dev Patel portrays Zuko. Slumdog Millionaire was awesome.

Yes, I see your point of view. That's what I think too, it's impossible to make a movie even near the original cartoon... Movie adaptations normally make me feel like something's missing, or even not right. Still, it's interesting to watch, like you said. Maybe it will come out cool.
And then there's Dev Patel I'm looking foward on seeing his interpretation too.

Definitely. Although I have to say, the movie adaptation of the Chronicles of Narnia were pretty good...but then again, I haven't read the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in years. I guess it's just cool to see things come to life, especially when the original is a book. But when you've got a cartoon like Avatar...it's bound to be a bit more difficult. The Dragonball movie just came out, but I haven't seen it...wonder how the reception is for that movie. It might not be so great.

Which is why watching to see how Avatar will play out will be interesting indeed.
