Sorry I took so long school is quite a pain lately, though Temari might be a combination of things as it is pretty common place in japan I would try the syllables separately, this does not work for characters like Gaara but its a good tool to use.

I believe Temari might be a combination name I can't find any direct translations Ri can often refer to a measure of distance in japanese measurements Ma is sometimes used as another form of mi like Yuma instead of Yumi but I'm not sure.
As for couples I believe Kishimoto has not had the ability to keep up with the fans views on pairings but he is likely aware that the naruhina sasusaku fanbase is a thing. My guess is he did that trying to satisfy the mass majority of his fans as possible this is easily possible because the design for deideira was submitted originally by a fan with the text "I don't know if I'm a boy or a girl" written in a bubble above his head in the akatsuki robes with his little monocle.Β
he fight with Naruto and Sasuke was also though of before it was actually done in the fan book which was released before valume 23 - 27 where the fight occured he didn't know if he would have them fight but by popular demand he eventually did but it took him a long time. So he is keeping his fans in high regard
