I handle more social media, and organization. (Just trolling around the internet haha.)
He said "I've spent most of my time making shitty games, this is the first good one."
It's been about 14 months since he's been working on this game.

As for me, I like to draw, obviously. But I want to eventually make my own comics and stuff. I've actually done art for some (crappy) iPhone games. Making games is also something I've wanted to do, but I don't have the patience for it. Lol. 

But my life pretty much revolves around art and doing freelance stuff.

And hey, putting 'crappy' art into a game means that you've done someone some people only wish they can do. Also means experience and practice.

haha the guy who hired me took a chance on me, and I was really proud since I had never even animated anything before. It was all hand drawn too. Had to finish each game within a week. That was the hardest part.

And yeah, I just couldn't sit at a computer looking at code all day. And then the debugging process I heard is a real pain. My friend is going to college to make games though and he and I wanted to make a game eventually. So hopefully that happens.

As long as you and your friend have very good work ethic, you'll be able to make games.
Mind you, your first games will suck. But paradoxically, try to make them the most awesome thing ever.
Kinda like how children make crappy crayon drawings that suck even though they try hard.
But practice will improve your skills. And the only way to practice making games and game art is to actually do it.
And not pretend to do it. Do it with the intention of publishing your work.
