Wow, I'm a HUGE Sierra fan. My dad actually worked for them, and on alot of the series--such as Kings Quest, Torin's Passage, Leisure Suit Larry, Peppers Adventures, Phantasmagoria, and more. So needless to say, I grew up with them! It's a big part of my childhood. *heh*

mostly the effort to get the buggers to work
it wasnt easy back in the day but now adays its almost impossible ith out dosbox and dosbox is just as bad
even the kings quest collection uses dosbox

I came upon this page tonight and thought that others here might be interested to hear of this, if they haven't already:
A VGA remake of Quest for Glory 2 (created by fans but, if I'm not much mistaken, officially licensed) was recently released by AGD Interactive (who used to be Tierra, if I recall correctly) - some may recall their King's Quest 1 and 2 remakes (the latter of which I thought was particularly good).

The Quest for Glory 2 remake seems, as far as I've played it thus far (I started in on it yesterday), to be very true to the original, with a few extras thrown in (such as some very nice little Wizard minigames against Keapon and Aziza (I may be wrong, but I don't recall those being in the original), and a quite impressive, I think, battle system).
(My apologies if I read like an advert - I'm just a fan myself.

Old Seirra games are my life and soul, I remember distance memories of QFG 2, 3, 4, and 5, for some reason i don't remember 1 at all... My sister used to play these game alllllll the time, and i'ed watch, Gabrial knight is like w00t
Watched for hours as my sister played these games over and over again just for fun, She could play them in her sleep, and i watched everytime, watching her meet manu or running from the AWFUL WAFFLE WALKER
and the multiple ways to die crack me up everytime

Didn't know there was such a place, I love old Sierra games, grew up on them since I was a kid in the 80s... ironically LSL1 was my first game, XD and i was eight, i didn't get far til i got older, and Space Quest. Nice to see someone that remembers the good stuff.
