I was just going through your blog on devotion-graphics. I'm sorry to hear that you wont be doing tutorials for a while. The tutorial you had planned about concept art from thumbnail sketches is one I'd love to have bought. You are by far the most talented and most in-depth tutor I have come across. Your attention to detail and your eagerness to explain everything (without jump-cuts) in full detail is what sets you apart from all these other so-called 'detailed tutorials' I see on the net.
Every painting I produce is all thanks to your tutorial. I can't have made that start without your help mate. I thank you deeply and hope that you go back to making your awesome tutorials. I still have a lot to learn, but I doubt I'll ever find a better tutorial or a better teacher than you !

Hey mate, thank you very much for your kind words. It seriously mean a lot! I started making the tutorials knowing they might get lost in the crowd, but when I read about how much they have helped someone such as yourself it's really uplifting to hear.
I guess I've just hit a creative block and other priorities have taken over, but I don't think an artist ever gives up completely, so maybe after a bit of a time out I'll get back into the digital painting again and produce more tutorials.
Thanks again for the motivating feedback. I hope you continue painting more great work!

I bought your Photorealism DVD a few months ago and have drawn a picture based off your instruction. I put the original picture of how I used to draw next to the new one.
The Difference is astonishing! You are a wonderful artist and an even better teacher!
The only problem I had with your techniques is that I'm Slightly Color blind so I have trouble telling apart the skin tones. So if you decide to look at the picture and notice the colors are off, that's why.
Again thank you so much for your help! When I get more money I'm sooo Buying all your other dvds!

Hey Dan I downloaded your photorealism tuturial of Emily Rose from your website, Its been alot of help for me its kept me interested in digital painting, I hold my hands up..I do get bored sometimes... not quickly though but frustrated sometimes when things I can't do get on top of me..but this download has got chapters I can can skip to & from to help me!
I'm currently doing a portrait, a reference model I found on Flickr, your video chapters are now my bible!
