I used to take riding lessons when I was younger and I had a shetland pony and a mule....the pony got real old and i outgrew her so my dad sold her back to the person we got them from. Then years later I took riding lessons again. Then I got a Morgan mare. She ran off with me and I sprained my neck

I want to buy an english saddle...but alot of people tell me I might have to special order one for a QH....I hope not that might get expensive

hmm i dunno. My instructor doesn't buy a special english saddle for her QH mare. She just uses the one she uses on her thoroughbred sammy.

Ya I don't see why it would matter, cause its not like they are hard or solid or anything. If anything I would think they would be more comfortable. I don't know if hes ever been ridden english.

She's not stocky stocky...but you can tell she's a QH haha. She has that big butt
But she's pretty thick. Sammy is pretty stocky too. He has the QH body..but that TB head :]

grrrr the link didnt turn out exactly like i planned...emoticons showed up in it and messed it up. It does say link beside it that goes to the main page, then all you need to do is click on English saddles and then it is the one that says beginners saddle package if you want to see the saddle I'm interested in. Its cheap and probably not the best quality but I'm not looking for anything fancy, I really can't afford. Maybe with next years tax return I can get a better one.

i'm not sure yet, i'm going to stop at the tack shop and get an idea about the different size seats. i never had to buy a saddle before so im new at this. the english saddle i used to have was borrowed.

Cool, I don't see any reason why the saddle I want shouldnt work. The one I want is on the internet and I didn't really want to waste the money if it wouldnt work. Cause I don't think it comes in wide or extra wide like some people said I might have to use. Now I'm just trying to find out how to measure for the girth length without having the saddle cause it all comes in a set.
