write what though? I rarely get ideas, and when I do it takes forever for me to write it. rarely, like in the case of 'penny for your thoughts' it all comes at once... others...it takes forever.

Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. I scribble stuff out sometimes, but only when I am inspired to do so. Something that might be helpful is to keep a notebook with you and whenever you get an idea, jot it down so you don't forget it.

Well, you may not write as prolifically as you might like, but, of the pieces that you do write, you'll work hard on them to make them really great.

Don't worry about it. If you feel inspired to write, well, it's clear that you can create a great story. If not, it isn't the end of the world. Take each story as it comes to you.

It's only sad if you aren't happy with what you wrote. Admittedly, it isn't super impressive, but this stuff takes time. However, if you want to improve faster, you've just got to work at it.

I agree in part with him, in that sometimes inspiration is going to be difficult to find. But the more you write, the easier it is to find something to write about. You may write about things that you don't want to share with anyone (like, say, a journal), and that's fine just as long as you continue to write, to practice putting your thoughts on paper and expressing them clearly.

I know what you mean. >.< I've been working on this fic for a couple years now, & I won't even post a chapter until it's done because it takes me so long to get an idea for a chapter, then write it, then edit it. (Then let it sit around for a couple weeks, reread it, edit it again, try & get my friends to read it & give feedback, etc.)
...Not that I'd get many fic followers, if I can't even get my friends, who are fans of the comic and the pairing, to read my bloody story without nagging them for weeks.

That's very true. But once you finish it, you could always put it up on the free NOOK books site. I go through the site once in a while, and any non-porn, well-written story intro with few or no grammatical and spelling errors usually catches my attention, and thus I'm far more likely to read it. Whereas, here on devART, I'm not so likely to read original work because I use this site mostly to find fanart of my favorite shows and books, and to connect to people who share my interests.
