Not this time, I didn't have a peeler to make the slices thin enough so I had to do it with a knife. And/or the ginger was well picked. The "woody" parts of the ginger never softened enough to be good. Still eatable, but needs work. Now the simmering an open vanilla bean in the milk you are heating to make vanilla yogurt, THAT turned out great! Especially if you let it 'rest' in the fridge a full 24 hours after you put it in the fridge... :) (Smile)
