Awe, thanks for the comment and the advise. Yeah i just got the guts to start drawing people. Yeah i see what you meen. I'll take anyones advise. Thank lots! This is one of best. I did a differnet one after this and i was better on the outline and im not the best the lighting. it should be darker. I bought charcol, its weird though. Do you know how to use it? Well Thanks again!

Charcoal is fun to use but its really really smudgy and a fine tip will wear down pretty quickly (hard to do details!)
I like using an Ebony pencil and just applying more pressure for dark spots. I start out with a very light spatial outline to make sure everything is in about the right spot then draw in all the dark shadows first...I use a blending stump and just smear the ebony around to get the lighter shadows and touch up with some 4HB pencils now and then...
You might try taking some photos of friends out in bright sunlight to get the hang of drawing high contrast.
Just keep doing them!!
