okay i actually have a story behind this one
so i've had my oc snivy before i even knew what an oc was so at the time i just kinda called her snivy
but you know, eventually i knew that i coulden't keep her name like that forever
So a little backstory of my dear snivy, she was adopted by a gemstones the sableye second in command in Wyvern the Salamances guild, at first Wyvern wasen't open to the idea of keeping it Gemstones insisted that the guild take care of here Wyvern agreed as long as gemstones took care of the egg for the most part, as time went on not only Wyvern but the entire guild started taking care of the egg
eventually the egg hatched and out came the snivy
no one knew what to name it so they took suggestions

since they had so many names they decided to mix it all
but when they did it still just made the name snivy
so they kept the name but changed the pronunciation
instead of the i in snivy being said as "eye" is was said as "eh"

also it also led me to imagen that despite snivy usually being a very calm and collected pokemon
she is terrible when it comes to love since she had no idea of what a relationship was growing up
