Hey there, thanks so much for the lovely comment. And yes, I sometimes use filters but usually it's a standard Photoshop filter and no I can't think of one I couldn't live without, just gimme Photoshop, a decent camera and maybe Bryce5 .

Ah, yes your welcome. Some people just don't appreciate and perceive art the way we do.

Anyhow, I was browsing through 500 collections of logo here in DA. Your logo is definately something among the few which stands out. I was looking for inspiration and ideas in doing a logo for a non-profitable buddist youth society and another logo for a friend of mine with his school assignment dealing with telco.

PS: Oh I think all people who visits this page would read your journal.

Thanks for dropping by and checking out my recent poster.

You are right, I have also seen a lot of this two tone grungy stuff. Not sure if I like it, but it means I can loosen up a bit and not oworry too much about placement etc. So from that respect, I hope it lasts.

I like the look of your vector stuff, very clean and effective.

Thanks for the comment on my 'what' flash piece.
Yeh it was created using just rollovers and movie clips and stuff. I don't really know anything about actionscripting so I use different methods to create effects. If there's anymore you need to know just ask. Thanks again

Some people suggested that with the stair picture, to remove the big shadow, but I think it really adds to the composition and forms a base for it all. I think it would make the image purer, but also more boring when I take it away. Taking the photo at a time when it would n't be there is not an option: the stair shadow would have moved dramatically too.

yea, I live near Union, if you know where that is.. if not its like 1.5 hrs due west of STL, JUST on the south side of the MO river. I'll be becoming a MULE soon, transfering to CMSU in Warrensburg soon though, this fall. After I get an AAS, I'm finishin off a bachelors there.

I got the devvie for community reasons actually.. the anual devvie awards are a user-voted award, just like people's choise, music awards, and shit... there will be a button on every deviation to "nominate for a devvie" and I think every user can nominate 3. so a bunch of good shit from each category of each tier is selected by those with most nominations, and we vote the very best in a formal way, after the admins give us the top 3 for every tier. The admins also pick a group of people personally who they think deserved awards for community services.. there's about a dozen awards they hand pick and give to people.. mine was one of them.

The 3rd annual devvies should be coming pretty soon..

You have a great vision on the image, I'd say you found half of its original meaning. It is indeed about the loss of innocence, but also about finding it again.
But I always try to keep my images multi-interpretable so it's quite amazing that you saw so much in it.

in answer to yer questions: I had always wanted to use that song in something and I had a set of pics I wanted to use (I had called them "a city of blurs" and are the last 10 - 12 pics of the show) but they weren't enough so I looked at ALL the pics I took that night and pieced together something of a story....but the experiment for me was the delivery....flash is a very weird environment to work in....

Evidentally I still need some work...
