What draws you to philosophy, and how is it different than theology?

Short question and a tough one to answer.
I was drawn to philosophy years ago and always (incorrectly) saw theology as just saying 'God was the answer and it was easy'--and that's when I thought philosophy was the real discipline.
But as I grow up and have grown up in both disciplines, theology is really tough and so is philosophy. They ask different questions but their methodologies are very similar. One might say theology needs philosophy to express itself.
Philosophy and theology might be seen on the same continuum or line. Theology argues from the top down (what do we say about God, man, and other first principles) and philosophy from the bottom up (what is reason, how do we know, what does experience teach us?).
That's really super-simplified, but we find ourselves in between those two poles. Theology also has additional concerns such as revelation and the many implications of the Incarnation, Cross, and Resurrection.
