Apologies for the lag in replying...
as for how I'm doing, some of the explanation as to what happened to me is in a journal etry I posted early in July: I've been struggling with kidney desease (I lost one kidney to cancer), and diabetes. I had gone quiet the first six months of this year, and then one day, I started writing again. Tentatively at first ("Signing in Korean", and next came "Wicker Horses"), and then not long after, I jumped in feet first (that's what John `RetroZombie called it, rather aptly I might add) with "Gentle Cannibal". The rest has been coming to me, bit by bit. So in that sense, I'm grateful for the chance to create after six months (a long time for me) of quiet. I didn't worry actually. I knew it wasn't writer's block (I don't believe in writer's block btw). I put in what energy I could when John helped me relocate so that he could take care of me (we've been the best of friends, and more, for almost five years). I won't ever be well, but for now, I'm better than I was -- and that's everything.
My gosh, how I carried on - sorry! It's wonderful to've heard from you and I hope you won't be a stranger, just as I will try not to be. I could have sworn I had you on my Watch, so I made sure you are now.
