since you gave such a wonderful analysis, i'll tell you that the book it's based on is The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. the poem is told from the point of view of Gray's love interest, Sibyl Vane.

no, no, don't change it. Are you asking if I took it literally? well, no. I sometimes say things are self-explanatory even when they're not, just because I understand so well what you mean, not because it's too plain. (Just because it's plain english to me, doesn't necessarily make it so in general) No, stanza 3 seems fine as is. If I didn't think so, you know I would have told you. ... I'm just noticing... probably about half of the miniscule details I point out in your work... are things you seemingly didn't realize you had done. (excluding typos of course) I mean like the afi thing, and the references to previous writings and such. hm. I can't help but think of this as symbolic of myself. In that... well, I believe you know I'm a freshmen in college, But do you know what my major is? ... Psychology/Psychiatry. [not sure which yet, as psychiatry makes twice as much, can prescribe Rx's, but requires med school (a daunting foe)]. And the basic thing I would do in that field, is just this; relating with someone to surface their subconscious tendencies, in order to compile a relative idea of .... the person.
...wow, rambling like shit, sry. I worked last night, and had to stay late, so I've been awake since like ... 3pm yesterday, and now it's ... hehe, 3:30pm today, great, well, cya.
