You're quite welcome! Your work is amazing. I especially like your work with charcoal. I wish I was that good! Charcoal is definitely my favorite medium to draw with, and you just make me want to work on my skills

I love charcoal too- never thought I would - in art school it was AWFUL, those vine sticks are DEATH. but after I discovered charcoal pencils, they are the best!

My drawing teacher gave our class both the vine sticks and pencils. He let us choose which we liked better, but he used vine charcoal to demonstrate everything. I like it better for shading, but I do like the pencils more haha.

I sometimes use the big compressed charcoal sticks for big areas, but mostly I use the pencils, in all different hardnesses. Good for control, but they'll never be as tight as mech. pencils, which is ok! I try to keep it loose, if I can. And white charcoal pencil, which really isn't charcoal at all, it's chalk, I believe.

Oh yeah, compressed charcoal! I don't use it as much, but my friend swears by it for big areas haha. And it's funny that you mention white charcoal, because I was actually talking to another friend earlier about them. She said that the brand she used made a bluish color when she used it with regular charcoal. I don't really know much about it though, I've never used white charcoal.

I use General's white charcoal pencil, it's quite white, even when mixed with black charcoal pencil, turns gray, not bluish. But I read somewhere that it's actually made from chalk, not charcoal. I use it because I start on med. gray as my base, so my whites really "pop".
The other cool thing is I can draw in my whites, not erase or leave them out (like in pencil drawings on white paper) so that saves mucho time
