You're welcome - its a beautiful composition and I thought the title worked very well with it and made me wonder. And thanks for welcoming me! I have to say that I'm falling in love with this place myself.

Lol! Yeah, I was just looking for some wallpapers for a particular fandom that was scarce on Google Images and joined figuring "Ah, what the heck?" Wow! I mean, who knew there was so much here? I'm even feeling tempted to attempt to improve myself and do some computer art...

I've wanted to do computer art too, but I don't have a tablet or anything. My friend says they're kinda hard to use at first. Have you ever used one?

No, sadly not - I don't even have one yet. :/ I'm really interested to try it, though, because I love customizing my desktop with cool wallpapers from my current leading fandom mood but can't always find what I'm really looking for and I'd love to be able to make my own. Plus, I love doing photography (although I don't really have any training yet) and viding and I figure I might get a combination of those enjoyments from doing computer art. Still, that darned learning curve...

That would be pretty sweet. And what's viding? I don't think I've heard of that before.

Well, if you end up trying computer art I wouldn't mind hearing how it is - and if I do I'll be sure to let you know. As for viding, its just a sloppy shorthand for creating videos with movies/tv clips/pictures and music and posting them online, usually YouTube. I've got more works in progress than completed videos, sad to say, but I have a Buffy one set to "Head Over Heels" that I'm pretty proud of, as well as the beginnings of a The Mummy video that I went ahead and posted my progress for as well. (I'm a rabid fan of those movies.)

Cool, cool. If I ever try it you'll be the first person to know. Well, second technically, because I'll be the first person. LULZ!! When you say the Mummy video do you mean the one from the trilogy where the main character's name is Rick and he gets married to Eve and their son is Alex (I don't really pay attention to the names of actors)? Or is there another mummy movie I've never heard of?

Lol!!! Second works for me. Yep, that's the one! Admittedly, I'm rather in love with Rick O'Connell but I just can't help adoring those movies. I don't know if you care for watching fandom videos much but I was inspired to try my hand at doing a Mummy video (I'm doing mine to Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust") after watching this video on YouTube([link] ). It's a Rick O'Connell tribute to Bon Jovi's "Who Says You Can't Go Home" and if you happen to like the Mummy movies I think you might enjoy it also.

That was pretty cool. Some of the clips were sped up and it was funny watching them move in super fast motion. And all the clips were from the first two movies. Did the creator not like the third one as much?

Glad you liked it! Yeah, I noticed all of the clips were from the first two. I know a lot of people don't like the third one because it had a different actress playing Evie. I haven't actually seen the third one yet, largely because I'm kind of apprehensive about that myself. Still, I adore the first two so I'm probably going to have to give that one a chance, too. How did you like the third one?

It was . . . okay. Not as good as the first too, and the actor change threw me off a bit. It didn't tie in with the other two much, which wasn't too bad, but it was much . . . magiced (not a real word but I can't think of a good one to put in here) up. Like, it was changed into a much more Hollywood movie. Does that make any sense? I don't really know how to explain it. The movie by itself is worth watching, in my opinion, but compared to the other two it's not as good.

hatshep2 In reply to BluMo0n [2011-10-06 01:33:37 +0000 UTC]
Ah, so I should probably watch it as a cool movie but not really thinking of it as another Mummy movie? That makes complete sense - I'm a huge Terminator fan and I don't entirely count Terminator:Salvation as a real part of the timeline but I still enjoyed it and rewatched. So I can certainly give Mummy3 a shot as a movie, even if its not really the same or of the quality of the original two. Btw, dA question - how do you give yourself a sig? I have a couple of Mummy and Dylan Dog quotes in mind but I can't seem to figure out how.

When you're logged in, to the right of the search bar is your username and when you scroll over it four options appear. Click on settings and you'll go to the settings menu. The box for your signature is second from the top.

Thank you!!! XD I have now put three of my favorite quotes (1 from 'The Mummy', 1 from the 'Dylan Dog' movie, and 1 from the 'Percy Jackson' books) as my signature so they'll make me happy every time I comment. Thanks so much for the assist.

Yw! I'd say you're pretty darned good already. Still, if your improvement process involves posting more art then go right ahead.
