I'm really excited for you. I'll try be around here a bit more often to spill love and feedback all over your work. And you're going to love Emerson in the fall. I ramble. I hope I have sufficiently shown my love for your poem. I know my compliments on "the less i know" would never be able to fully express my appreciation for it, for the precision and the delicacy and the beauty of it, and my appreciation for you in general, being the sweet person that you are.

In the class I'm taking now it seems that there's a disconnect between what I mean to say and the actual words on the page. I've been finding lately that it's impossible to do anything being distracted, even the slightest hint of tactlessness can ruin it completely, a lot of the time, don't you agree? Which is why sometimes it's frightening to think of the possibility of using the right words in the wrong way. Which is always a fear when I'm as distracted by stupid things as I am.
Such as ap exams, for example

Ah, I see what you mean. All I can say: words are words are words are words. Saying what you mean; aye, it might happen maybe once a year, if you get lucky. You're better off trying to say what you see, and making meaning out of that. That's how I tend to approach it: these are the things that I observe that I find for some reason beautiful enough to record. Create your own meaning.
Distraction is something we're going to have to evolve to get over. It's impossible to avoid it. Have you read Baudelaire's "To a Reader?" [link] I'm going to write the same poem but replace "ennui" with "distraction"
AP exams. Sheesh, I'm glad I dodged that bullet. I went to a progressive high school that doesn't believe in APs to a progressive college that also doesn't believe in APs. The College Board is quite possibly the worst thing in the universe. It might be worse than Monsanto. Don't get me started.
