Ah, I certainly hope so. Things are just bitter here at home and I'm living in constant fear so I think college will be a nice break from this, heh. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I have a whole range of excuses but in the end they're just excuses and I'm honestly sorry for not responding earlier, and that's what needs to be said.

I'm glad I've given you something to think about. So often, I'm typing with my critical thoughts more or less disengaged, letting what I want to say simply flow. It's not always pretty, or very well structured, but it's cathartic.

In saying that: when I go back to these things I have created later, it seems so hollow to me. Bach? I got a daily deviation for that. I wrote that in one sitting after a drunken, mistaken night with a friend (I'll leave that interpretation up to you). He won't talk to me these days. The emotion I get from reading it is much less the words, and much more something completely separated, and something which happened much later.

I think what I'm trying to say is: when we write, we channel a part of ourselves we usually lock away. Once we've finished the piece, we can throw away the key to that little part. Someone else can come along, and for a moment, maybe they construct half of a key to open one of their secret drawers, too. They feel something. We all feel something more when it's something we haven't had full access to, not yet.
