Hahaha yea....so soon >_<;;; Excited and scared at the same time haha. I'm redesigning the elementary school (how they teach, and the architecture) based on kenetic discovery and intuitive learning fun stuff.

hahaha political weather....the thought didn't even cross my mind. Hm...hot and humid...sounds really pleasant~ Are your winters colder? or are they hotter? I know in some countries it's flipped with ours in canada (ex. australia).
Yep! New ways of learning... hate the current education system. There are some places in the world where education is really awesome though. Apparently switzerland is really up and coming in terms of education... I'll keep you updated
Ooo third year...fun fun. Temporary lodging? What kind of concept do you have in mind?

haha just kiddng!
we dont have really distinct seasons.. equatorial climate, u see.
ts alrte.. except the drought times and the monsoon rains. despite that its pretty bearable thruout the year here n our capital city. other cities do have more extreme weather conditions tho..
wow i'd never thought i'd hear that from a canadian! why dont u like the system there? or.. more lke, what dont u like bout the system?
i'm DREAMing to go over to europe for studies n the future. heh. heard too many stories of great architects from there.
will be anticipating the progresses of ur work!
just an ultra-low-budget motel sort of stuff..
but instead of the usual motel.. i provide them with campsites smack in the middle of the cty. target consumer wll be the backpackers.. so they'll bring their tents around, and get to this urban campsite, pay a certan fee and choose a plot to pitch their tents. not exactly something thats been around.. but more like a hybrid of a few existing typologies. heh.

wow monsoon rains..haven't heard anyone say that in so longg!! hahah.
The system is horrible!! They throw kids in so they come out as squares. If they don't fit into the mold, then they're seen as failures. There's no room for creativity or radical thinking cause everyone's so afraid of failing . Plus the only "real" careers even acknowledged by the system are things like lawyers, doctors, etc. But really, it's all about finding the job that's best suited for you because as long as you love what you're doing, you will most likely be good at it! Or as least be happy. Haha i'm so busy i haven't had a chance to post in a while.
That's so cool! I love the idea of campsites in the city. You never see that anywhere and in a way, the city is a landscape of some sorts too! What sort of structures were u thinking?

yeah... its hot now tho... havent seen rain for a week i think.
haha is monsoon that such a rare word??
on that ur right.. thats the case with every education systems in the world i guess. in malaysia they brand it : "to produce industry-competent individuals". means u train these fellas out to work....
"so where does 'thinking' comes in?"
"uh, what?"
u get the idea.. especially in southeast asia.. and asia in general... its all like this.. i wonder if u'd been thru the same thing.. of "utmost obedience" to ur superiors and ur elders and never to question authority. social engineering.. so its either drones or misfits at the end of the day.
i'd been thinking bout the same thing actually... about revamping education.. its that balance of radical exploration and social order.. altho when given enough room to grow... most ppl shudnt cause too much trouble..oh, and that mindset seems to be particularly strong in asians... to be "professionals"...
haha honestly it wasnt a program we thought of, our self-claimed IDIOT-SAVANT tutor came up with it. he's awesome.
the sites' pretty small and we're going for quite the capacity here... and its supposed to be like a business model that can work. it'll be open, it'll be light, it shudnt consume too much power its low-budget... and its bang for the buck. i envision it to be a series of platforms lifted from the ground, on which the globetrotters can pitch their lil tents. its a lil like a play on the ideas of moderism's 5 points, now that i look back at it. hah. will be posting them up soon, am in the final; stages of compiling the materials for presentation.
