Currently I'm using free hosting from Inizio www.iniziohost.com/ ! Previously I've used various paid hosts but never ever took advantage of the resources because it was always under construction so I decided to use a free host for now, so far I haven't had any problems but I only have this one static page up haha. xD 

For paid hosts I really want to try A Small Orange next if I don't stick with Inizio when I choose to pay for my hosting. I used to use Dreamhost and I liked them but I couldn't afford to keep paying for a site when I wasn't doing much with it. Way, way back I used Godaddy but began to dislike them...

There's nothing wrong with free hosts! Does it have an expiration or anything? Is there many limitations for it? ;A;

I was never taught much about hosting - Like I understand how to do the folder directories and stuff.. but they never told us about the free vs paid domains and things, so I'm just honestly curious! Thanks for letting me know, I'll have to check it out.

Ah, well it is a shame when they charge you for things like that - it's understandable but can be upsetting especially if you don't take full advantage! You'll have to let me know how Orange goes! I'll update you if I hear anything from my mentors. It's okay, you're allowed to stop liking sites! I love the idea of toyhou.se but.. I don't like it - and I don't know why, because technically everything works and stuff..

Oh oops I forgot, no the free host has no expiration so it is really convenient for just starting out. :3 (At least I've never experiences an expiration date though I guess that would depend on the company)

That's a paid service but it's highly rated by like 4 of my teachers / mentors

Oh you're so welcome, it's the least I can do since you answered all of my own questions!

Free hosts are lovely but I think for certain things it's best to go with paid because they have less limitations and more customer service in my experience...for example Inizio doesn't allow you to run Python (which I don't even know how to use yet) with their free services, but they do with paid. They also give you more disk space and bandwidth so for example a free hosted site might not be able to handle as much traffic as one that's paid...For now a little site I don't do much with is fine with free hosting, but in the future I'd like to have more things available to me.

I'm nowhere near as active or up to date with the act of operating a site as I was years ago (hoping to change this soon!!) but updating a website is super easy! Usually you can do it through an FTP program that you download to your computer or the host will have some convenient way to login directly through their website and you can view the folder directories right there.

I haven't heard of toyhou.se; is it some RPG art community? Though, *nods* everyone has their own preferences so you're right. x3

I'll definitely keep you updated; and yes if you hear anything interesting I'd love to know! :3 

Oh! One more thing, if you're looking to get a domain name, I absolutely hands down recommend www.namecheap.com/ I have been using them for years, they offer great Cyber Monday deals and competitions (I've won once!) so it's very affordable, and they have good customer service and morals.
