Actually... am at Boat Quay! Ironically, I haven't been drinking much taking into account the close proximity to alcohol. I miss my beer...
I'm definitely enjoying work... how about you?

ha. i dont think mine do. i cant stand to photograph anything besides people, it just doesnt seem complex, so i think i end up with a story no matter what, because people are stories.

Hi Joywalker... you wanted to know how i shot my banana on peel me [link]
Well, basicly you need a bright white background and a lot of light... of course it works best with daylight, on the other hand the contrast and the shadows will be too strong...
what I did: i took some sheets of plain white paper and covered my whole desk with it... than i took some lamps... you should have one strong main light source and some more other lamps, so that everything is bright somehow and the contrast is not too strong... but that depends on the effect you want...
If you can adjust the focus on your camera manualy you should focus on one part of the object, so that the others are a bit more blurred... that makes a great depth-effect...
Afterwards i cleaned the background using photoshop.... desaturat the background, because you'll allways have some color, depending on the lightsources you used.... than just turn up brightness until its plain white.... you should leave some dropshadows around the object.... that makes it look realistic and not just pastet into a plain white background...
well, thats it basicly... have fun experimenting!!
Btw, here's another one... using the same technique: [link]

thank you for your comment on gold warmth.
yes it is rather blur but i love the spectacular sky so i well chose this over the other i took which is clearer. its also rather blur because i suspect iso 400 is a lil grainy for this.
and the picture is rather small because ive decided to keep all future online submissions small to avoid leeching and will only do big ones for prints
but thank you

the font is called Scriptina... i found it on DA actually, thought it was so cool and I just loooved the way it flows
i'm not sure got i got those bluish tones! i was pretty close to the floor so hmmm maybe it was the light reflected off the marble floor nearby? i think that could be how it got there... i didnt even notice it until u mentioned it... hehe... thanks
