Β What is your instrument? I belong to a baroque recorders ensemble.

Oh, I play guitar; while I admire the Baroque I can't claim to have played it, other than some readings through some of his solo violin pieces.
I'm mostly in jazz and soul territory.

Β Do you know the (Russian?) guitarist Estas Tonne? If not, you can listen to him on Youtube ( "The song of the golden dragon", for example) and tell me you advice about him?

True, what you say about American musicians. I listen to wider swaths of the panorama, including some Hindustani and Carnatic music, but there simply isn't enough time to do everything I wish. I can hardly claim to be doing to a satisfactory standard what I do now! I say this not in defense, but rather out of regret; it has always been an aspect of adult life that has dismayed me that breadth and depth of cultural appetite is so often in excess of available resources.
I'll gladly check out Estas Tonne, however. My ears always welcome fresh sounds!
