Oh I agree, such beautiful rugged country :-]
Have you ever camped at Patrick's Point? It is pretty far up the N. Cali coastline but a very cool campground with a trail leading to a spectacular view of the ocean and some sea lions. Beach access isn't the best though.

It has been years since I have been up there. I was a kid. It always seems so far and we are tent campers and I remember it as being more of a RV type of place. There is this great place in Sonoma county called Salt Point that we love. It takes a little climbing to get down by the water there too. It isn't quite a beach but it has tide pools and such. It is the first location of an under water state park in California. They have a lot of divers and kayaks there. It's stark but beautiful.

Sounds very cool. I like checking out tide pools and such. We just got back from camping at Grayback Campground, a little county campground near The Oregon Caves. Camping right on a crystal clear creek and a short hike to a nice swimming hole with a rope swing
And in 2 weeks we do a long weekend at Harris Beach State Park just north of Brookings, OR. It has a great sandy beach and a nice campground on a ridge overlooking the beach.
Yay for camping!

That's nice. I am teetering on the edge of restarting the town. I have to ask the girls first. And their brother, but their Dad and I want to share a character now.
