Oh my goooooosh, I went to art school and am currently on track for an English degree in Literature. It's been hectic but fun! I have an online course right now actually.

I scream every time I see my art. It's always changing. I have folders for every year I draw and it's craaaaazy to see my old works. I spent most of my time on tumblr after becoming a huge Transformers fan after I left dA, haha. Kind of stopped coming here after leaving PKMN Crossing. I definitely need to update.

It's so cool seeing so many groups up tho! I've been excited to talk to my friends here. It's so nice to hear from you again!

Ohhhh, interesting! But making in how? Is it help making the book story wise/art wise, or is it mostly making just the book in general, assembling the covers and pages?

And that's good! I've hardly been active here which is terrible...Made so many promises to people... x_X well, I'm hoping I'll get the energy soon, cafe work is chipping away at me.

Yep! I work at a children's book publisher (like before ahha) and I doooo the thumbnailing (basically the layout sketch, a step before "penciling" in comic speak), the layouts, typesetting and prepress work. I also make any additional graphics the book might need, but I'm sadly not the one writing the books or making the art--I'm the director. But it's actually a fun job and way less stressful than being an illustrator imo @ v @

Aaaand omgosh groups have been fun! Kind of a lot of tension lately (wehhh) but I think everyone's still having a good time.

And I know... My sister (Aki Fukuoka, perhaps you seen/heard of her?) did freelance illustrating for a while, and she was amazing and was well known, but from what I saw/heard its definitely not the most calming of work. From time to time depending on the client she stayed up for 3 days straight to finish drawing for a childrens picture book. X_X But I'm glad to hear you're having fun, can you tell me a bit more about it one day? Lately, not sure if its cause I'm working or whatnot but I want to hear more and more about other jobs. =3

Ohh yes I remember you showing me her portfolio thing before! I think her style's a bit more mature than the stuff we usually make so I haven't seen her though. Does she work with an agency? Most of our artists are with those things mmm.

We actually just had an art review meeting where we bring printouts of art samples and discuss who we're going to reach out to for our next books. We work as a team to look people up and then we pinpoint the look we're going for and walaaa

Well unfortunately she's stopped freelance work cause she got married AND now is ... 5 month pregnant? So she had to stop art work for the time being.
But I don't think she was with an agency, she got the job via a website that supports any freelance artists to spread their artwork around the work and do art for people overseas.

Huh, is it tough? Seeing as how the more people there are, different art style/likes/etc may clash from time to time?

... X_x Ahhh noes, thats not good...Seeing one or two people with stressed out journals but that's no goooood. I'm guessing its mostly on twitter?

Mooostly twitter, yep. I think 95% of the rp/ooc activity is there. So it is easy to avoid if you don't use Twitter. I'd go into more detail but I'm not gonna go into that in a public comment. Plus, I don’t really want to bring down the mood of your profile with the bleh’s. 

And it can be! Everyone has different tastes, so it’s all about finding what style is best for the book and what will give it the personality we’re looking for in it. It’s fun though seeing what everyone brings to the table, and no two artists are ever identical either.
