just remember tony is submissive regardless if him or counter are present. fact unlike Oncler and his other side ,Â
tony is still Counter its just an altered sort of attitude for him one that often blinds him to the truth of the situation.Â
after all counter is triggered only once tony has been completltely demotivated and than offered or forced to change.Â
tony wasn’t always in such a fragile state and you can thank roy for making him this way.Â
the anxiety , PTSD and almost inability to see himself as worthwhile compared to others - comes from the way roy treated him.Â
its like training a police dog, you’ve almost got to force out any affection and mould it to solely focus in certain situations.Â
same applies here, under the right circustances Roy managed to manipulate tony’s mind into obeying his whim while also giving tonyÂ
this false self confidence through clever means. making Counter more willing to do things tony wouldn’t normally - yet its still entirely him andÂ
one could he might remember all of his choices. if he doesnt its because he’s supressing them.Â
that’s why the rotting in the rp was such a big deal, because the last time he did that he was under the control of roy.Â
in fact tenchically speaking tony can only rewind, if he’s rotting it probably means he’s snapped into a sense of focus that he never had before.Â

(( Hi! Long time no talk...Sorry about that.. I really need to get back to my accounts I miss them. I've been so busy with work and stuff. Â I just finished watching Gregory Horror Show again and I cant believe I never realized the 2nd guest turned into a mouse and really became a part of the family! That was her shadow behind James when the new guest came in. Â
 Here's something else I've always wondered about this show why would you trade one hell for another? The people that come to the Hotel are trying to get away from the hell in the real world but once you come to the hotel your in a new hell of those living there trying to kill you and Mama trying to take your soul along with Gregory soooo WTF? Maybe it's just me but I think the real worlds hell would be better.  ))Â

i think the reality of the hotel changes to the needs of the guests.Â
and its likely that a lot of these guests probably died if their intro segments mean anything.Â
either died , passed out or broke down from stress . so as far as their aware this hotel is just somethingÂ
they came across - with little to no memory of how. i think the lucky two guests we saw actually were theÂ
few to ever understand what happened there. the heroes of their own story. it just happened that they didntÂ
want to leave. the first fellow it seemed like it was because he hated routine and found the hotels system a lot more interesting and fun.
and the second tried to get away but felt almost- trapped - by the endÂ
