My curiosity might seem dumb. Do you fire these pieces, or just dry and paint? And if fired, the glaze appears very matte... which I think works very well for what you do. I love them.

curiosity is (almost) never dumb. They are fired. I use what are called slips and underglazes. They are like glaze without the glass part that makes them shiny. I guess essentially they are like liquid clay with colorants added.

Thanks! I'm terrible at tea pots. All I Remember from school is that a sharp edge to the spout will keep it from dribbling (not that I've ever made one that didn't dribble). Good luck!

your work is amazingly awesome. i was wondering if i could use some of of ur sculptors as models for a painting. i wont be painting them how they are but rather using the distorted/style-ized figure as a starting point
