O and dont think I didnt notice your avatar of a wolf! I love wolves!! They are my favorite animals! If I could get a dog, t would by an alaskan malamute/wolf mix. I know they need a lot more special training but I would be so ready to do it with them

They would be the best dogs ever! During the power outage, My family and I went to go get some wood and we drove up to this place to pick som up and when we arrived I saw This wolfish looking dog in this ladies car, so I ran up to her (I have add when it comes to dogs) and My brother and I were like, can we pet him? and she said sure and we asked her what type of dog it was (It looked to me to be alaskan malamute, maybe hybrid but i wanted to ask) and she said alaskan malamute mix, and she stopped there. I think people get scared when she tells them he is part wolf, which is why she didnt tell us, but I was like OOO is he part wolf and she said Yes and I think we startled her because we got super excited afterwards and let the dog lick us and everything. He was super nice and it was the first time I met a wolf hybrid, so i was ridiculously happy . Wow thats a long story, o well haha, I can talk about dogs forever if you hadnt noticed lol

No, you're thinking of obedience; dog shows basically display the dog's unique qualities. You teach them to stand correctly and to canter in a nice fashion. For a dog like Cashew, he just needs to stand with all four legs placed directly below him[link] for a German Shepherd, the leg on the far side from where the judge is standing is actually farther up than the other leg, signifying its flexibility [link] for and English Pointer, the stack is the same as the corgi except the handler removes the lead from the dog to exemplify it's obedience (a great quality of the breed) [link] Each dog breed has specific qualities that the judge looks at, and it is up to the handler to express them (and to try to hide problems with the dog). For example, Cashew's ears are placed a little too widely apart so I will try to make him prick them up. Or since his tail is placed too high I will make sure that he doesn't raise it up, etc. It gets complicated haha

wow, ok yeah I was thinking of something else, but that still sounds cool and difficult haha, but Im curious, so Cashew could lose because he was born with his ears placed too far apart, and his tail is too high? So the point of the dog show is too show an absolutely perfect dog, of that breed? Thats interesting.

Dog shows are an attempt to promote the breeding, study, and advancement of purebred dogs. The point is to basically keep the line of dogs at its best; a dog that does really well in the ring is supposed to be one of the best examples of its breed. Such dogs are then bred to keep the breed at its most pristine form. Most breeders will not mate two dogs when one or both have bad qualities, so they only choose top stock. We could have bred Cashew, despite his small "imperfections," but for a number of reasons we didn't.

Let me guess, you didnt breed Cashew, because there is only ONE Cashew!!! haha jk That is really cool that you do this, im guessing there is a lot of training that goes into this, did you train Cashew yourself or was he trained by some kind of dog whisperer haha.

IM THE DOG WHISPER haha (at least my friends think so) We didn't breed Cashew because my dad doesn't particularly like him (so adding another corgi...) and because there was an unwritten agreement when we bought him that we couldn't breed him. Stupid doggy people drama...

O ok so your the dog whisperer , What kind of tricks does Cashew know? And thats a shame your dad does not really like Cashew, he looks so cute! haha. I would like to get more dogs but we have three already. My dog, Tank, and My moms boyfriends 2 boston terriers. Its a shame that we cant get more dogs because the female boston terrier is terrible, she is not very well potty trained, and she is probably the dumbest dog I have ever met. I know that if i had trained her she wouldnt be doing half the stupid things she does >.>. She is lucky I love dogs so much haha. O and I just realized you commented at 2 in the morning, staying up late huh?

Psh I just got back from my nightly crime-fighting shift
Boston Terriers are not very smart dogs; On the list of smartest purebred dogs, I believe they are ranked number...83 (yikes the list is out of 100) Mutts are typically smarter than any purebred dog, depending on what they are bred down from. Any dog that has Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, or Border Collie blood in it is bound to be a smart dog since they a lot of times get the good traits of their ancestors. Of course, many can also get the bad traits which is why I have such a large problem with breeders of "labradoodles," "cockerpoos," or whatever the hell they wish to name them. The only reason labradoodles are so popular is because they are hypoallergenic and have a history of being docile dogs. Since their upsurge in popularity, breeders all over have started combining other dogs with poodles in an effort to create a "new" dog breed such as goldendoodle, boxerdoodle, corgipoo, cavapoo, pugapoo, irish doodle, and giant schnoodle to name a few. It's rather insulting that breeders of these dogs (which in reality, are just mutts) ask for prices of over $1,000 per dog since to them it is a "pure breed." They actually are trying to register some of these dogs in the American Kennel Club as pure breeds, claiming that the offspring of two doodlepoowhatevers retain the same qualities of their parents (they don't really.) I believe that the AKC has denied them acceptance, fortunately. If they would be allowed to register the dogs then breeders would be able to up the price for them considerably.
Ugh...I want another dog, but my mom says that it would be pointless since I'm going to college soon (I'm the only one in the family besides her that takes care of the dogs.) First chance I get though, I'm going to rescue a mutt haha

wow you know a lot about dogs , I love all the doodle, and poo names, my favorite is pugapoo!! haha Love that name
, but yeah that is quite a rip off, I always thought it was lame to charge so much for a dog, when I can get a really awesome mutt for waaaaayyyyy cheaper, I got my dog, who is a mix between a chocolate lab, and a border collie/coyote for free!! And he is awesome, you met him
Yeah it would be difficult to take care of a dog in college, but after college

Thats what im thinking, My brother and I are were thinking that after college, we might get a cat or something, be cause the first cat we got, we just showed him the litter box once and we never had trouble ever again, and now we have dogs and well...the e boston terriers are straight up dumb and my dog, although he behaves about 90% of the time, when he does behave it is such a huge mess that it is really irritating haha. So a cat wouldnt be so bad
