We are planning to sell our future ocarinas, yes (otherwise we'd soon see the day where we don't know where to store them anymore XD). First we wanna learn enough to be able to guaratee top quality :) (Smile)
If you are interested in one certain ocarina you see here, however, or you have any special wishes, feel free to contact us. We will see what we can do for you. Maybe we will part with that special ocarina for a price both sides agreed upon after letting you see and hear that ocarina (e.g. via Skype) - or maybe we have the ressources to create a commissioned ocarina for you. :) (Smile)

I tried putting an enamel clear coat on it, but it ended up literally melting the oc. :P (Lick)

(I got a black and burgundy replacement; I just haven't figured out what to paint on it yet )

What about acrylic colours? We use it. These colours dry very fast without burning and they are cheap and easy to get.

I didn't have access to acrylics at the time, and I was fairly certain the hobby-paints I used would be more durable.

Who knows? This time around I may test acrylics and see how that goes :P (Lick)

Please do keep us informed! I also ordered 2 poly-carb Mountain Ocarinas and it was you who inspired me to paint them! I am pretty sure that it will work well with acrylics, though. But you will HAVE TO seal them afterwards (duh!). We use a spray-varnish for our clay-ocarinas. It's non-toxic (read: can be used for toddler-toys) and eco-friendly and, as far as we can tell by now, does the job just fine. Vibrant colors and good protection :) (Smile) I can give you more information on it if needed, I'm sure you find something similar in the US.
