About Picard... So, you know, I decided to postpone watching until my vacation. Now work is comes down on me like a ton of bricks (I don't want to watch this series by fits and starts).

Picard was ok
I have complaints
I loved that in StarTrek the 24th century had solved many of our social problems and StarFleet 
was an example of optimistic forward looking humanism.
The recent StarTreks including Picard have Star Fleet as a not so nobel organization.
So it goes, enjoyed them anyway.

Hi, staats! Sorry, I missed the question! I've watched Discovery with mixed feelings. On the one hand, there are so many great new characters (Saru, Tilly, Stamets etc), but on the other hand... I do not understand why the authors so distorted the canon. I can't quite believe in some scenes, and this whole concept with the secret sister of a key character doesn't really work for me (sorry, discovery fans...). So I still stay fans of old series and Kelvin universe))) And you? Do you watch the new Picard story?

yes watched all of discovery
grew on me
i came to like the characters
liked spock and cap pike and michael burnam
the changes in canon were disturbing, i also fee that about Kelvin time line.
but in the end enjoyed it
i liked what i've seen of picard so far
nothing ever stays the same

Indeed... (mournful sigh)
But no matter what, I love short-tracks and I'm looking forward to new series about Pike (and quietly hope for a sequel about Kelvin universe))
