Yeah it is quite hard. Sometimes it hurts sometimes it's the best thing in the world. But these feelings are a good thing in the end as you said. And I'm glad I have these feelings cause they make me feel like it's worth it to keep going on. And I'm glad there's others out there who understand this.

As far as understanding goes, I'm glad that there are others out there who understand this feeling (or jumble of feelings, depending on how you look at it) as well. It makes it just that much easier to deal with when it starts to hurt too much...

Yeah. I think the best thing that helped was learning about how my thoughts effect my feelings which effects my actions and vice versa. It's a pyramid. They all effect each other. So you can use one to fix another. You know thinking of something makes you sad. Then try to re-route that to something else to make you feel better so you can take better actions.

Hey if your therapist helps I say stick with em. But if they don't help and you've given them quite some time to try then maybe it's time to consider it. You also gotta figure I did a lot of stuff on my own. cause I dream to work in the psychology field. Go figure. A crazy guy wants to help crazy people. XD

I'm actually going to minor in psychology because of the field I'm going into, I just haven't done a lot on my own with it.
Going to my therapist doesn't really help, so I think it might be time to consider switching. I've actually been getting more help from my boyfriend then I have from her because he keeps focusing on issues I have that are a direct result of the abuse (Ex: eye contact, verbalization, OCD, etc...), while she focus on issues that are minor and that I can deal with on my own.

I think she's trying a stepping stones method. Trying to focus on the small things to build confidence and then work up to bigger problems. That doesn't work for everyone. I'm glad you got a man that is willing to help. My ex just made everything worse.

And it's fine. I chose to be with her and she did make me happy for a while. but we didn't work out and went our separate ways. And now I think we're both better off.

The complications with my guy are mostly good. The only thing that isn't is the fact that, technically, we're not suppose to be seeing each other because of my parents... But, everything else seems to be complicated in a good way.
And, you're completely right with that. Sometimes the best things in life are complicated.

Well, they're not keen on the idea of me dating period, and yes, he is older... Quite a bit older. So, they're not thrilled about that either, which is why our relationship is on the "down low" until the end of August.

The whole thing with my parents is even more complicated then them just treating me like a child... Way more complicated.... But, yes, they do. Even though my bf is a lot older then I am, it's still my decision to date him or not. (Which, because of the severity of our age difference, could be considered a risk-taking behavior, but who really cares about that? Besides my therapist... But her opinion doesn't really matter here. XD )
Yes, I do turn 18 in August. August 29th, then I'm free to do what I want, even if that includes spending a few weeks in bed with my bf to catch up on quality time we've missed out on because of my parents. ^_^

My bf is 31... I know, it's a lot older, but I don't really care. Age is relative. It doesn't determine a personality, or the maturity level of a person, and that's what matters to me when I'm looking for someone to be with.
