You really should have! I know it's hard though, I always doubt myself whenever I write something, but then there are days I go "Oh yeah, I' can write!" Dont' let it hold you back!

I certainly do, though I feel like I've been lucky to get through this year! (I wish I was exaggerating - amongst other things, I live in Christchurch, which had a rather massive earthquake in February, so it's been tough times.)

When I heard about the Christchurch quake, I thought of you; I couldn't remember where in NZ you lived.

Things are going well, and thank you. I left my full-time job two months ago to reduce my stress, and to make a go of becoming a paid professional writer. Now all I need to do is to finish my first book (I'm two-thirds there) and locate a reliable illustrator.

It is; all three of my current projects are. This first one is a collection of martial arts-themed fables, to be followed by a book of children's poetry and a fantasy novel for the Harry Potter market.

The primary hold-up has been the illustrator; while I'd like to employ one of my real-life friends, I'm leery about her level of commitment. So plan B just might be to solicit interest from my watchers, and possibly even advertise the position on the Job Offers forum.
