oh. it makes me sad that i discovered your work after you decided to leave, because i'd love to see more of it. i get the feeling that you wouldn't have liked me, though; i'm an obsessive thanker

thatcatchance.deviantart.com. And I like the obsessive ones... the ones who just droll out that statement and never care to return the favor of being read are the one's I particularly hate on.

You know, thanks for the fave *leaves

Thank you so much for watching me! I've been watching you for a little while and I have to say that you are definitely one of the more thought-provoking poets on the site. I'm surprised you don't have more page-views!

It's because I refuse to give DA money, and I don't want the attention anyways.

I really appreciate the critique. I usually don't chnge the poems I write when people critique them because I feel like I'm using another's ideas to cheat and better myself. But, I do use it when I am writing other work so that I can try not to make the same mistake twice. So again thank you for the critique.

I guess it depends on whether you care more for the artwork or yourself.

I'd really like to thank you for the critique, I plan to edit the poem to fix those mistakes later on. I knew I was doing something wrong, but now I'm armed with a way to fix it, so I appreciate it greatly. I've been reading a few of your things, and plan to get to more when I have time later so I can give you the critique you say you want. Not that there's really anything to criticize, because your writing is fascinating, almost flawless. Again, thank you so much. It was nice to see someone commenting with some intelligence, it's so rare on this site. I would very much like to learn from you.

I was under the impression I sucked. I just started my English minor, and the professor HATED me. I still learned a lot.

Reading this really made happy.

Suck? Far from it, your work astounds me. It's very different. Maybe that was your professor's problem, that he was too by-the-book. I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Shame on you and your assumptions!!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

priestofknowledge In reply to FuzzyHoser [2009-11-24 21:53:06 +0000 UTC]

not really an assumption. If someone starts a meme for everybody to talk about themselves and make others talk about themselves. Egocentricity is a good description of the creator.

I'm fuddy duddy. There seems to be too much to do in the world rather than social networking. The only reason I liked the idea of deviantart was that the art is the focus... but that's seeming more and more untrue each time I come here.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FuzzyHoser In reply to priestofknowledge [2009-11-24 21:59:39 +0000 UTC]

So true... I agree with the point of dA being taken away more and more. But this silly little things are entertaining. I don't take them so seriously, hence there being creativity involved in coming up with outrageous lists. Your call..just thought it might be semi amusing to your odd mind.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

priestofknowledge In reply to FuzzyHoser [2009-11-24 22:02:01 +0000 UTC]

I didn't like the time I would have spent doing it, and of course talking about myself is impossible given my psychotic revulsion to self-esteem.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FuzzyHoser In reply to priestofknowledge [2009-11-24 22:06:55 +0000 UTC]

Well do or don't do whatever you like or dislike. Your perspective.. Took me like 10 minutes, and the silly act of doing it refreshed my mind from over thinking other things. Some of us work differently though.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

priestofknowledge In reply to FuzzyHoser [2009-11-25 09:58:45 +0000 UTC]

what does it mean to overthink? Is it like there is some standard of measure for when thoughts become a burden? What else is there to do when you realize something has been overthought?

FuzzyHoser In reply to priestofknowledge [2009-11-25 16:12:48 +0000 UTC]

You're doing it now..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

priestofknowledge In reply to FuzzyHoser [2009-11-25 20:31:50 +0000 UTC]

what about the other questions?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FuzzyHoser In reply to priestofknowledge [2009-11-25 20:37:01 +0000 UTC]

The other questions weren't relative to me...simply because I choose to non over think something so trivial. I don't know what the precise moment is when something is over thought. I just know that a person can only afford to deal with a certain subject for thought for so long. Then the subject becomes either boring or an aggitation. I dislike both. I think to the point that I feel content with what I've gathered...then I leave it be and I move on to something else.. Does that suffice as an answer?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

priestofknowledge In reply to FuzzyHoser [2009-11-25 21:37:45 +0000 UTC]

yes, a good one. I like being able to understand outside perspective.

Thank you so much for the faves,
I will respond to all of your
comments as soon as time permits.

As far as my obscurity is concerned,
honestly, does it put one off
or become irritating?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

priestofknowledge In reply to NaiveMaturity [2009-11-13 22:04:39 +0000 UTC]

The English people say it's bad poetry. He had pretty good rhetoric. But that's only the popular way of poetry.

Personally, I just like understanding what you're trying to say.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NaiveMaturity In reply to priestofknowledge [2009-11-20 22:25:19 +0000 UTC]

And I like leaving the reader to his
own interpretations. Why else do we
write other than to stimulate the mind
into recesses of thought?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

priestofknowledge In reply to NaiveMaturity [2009-11-21 10:33:41 +0000 UTC]

to present some new perspective.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NaiveMaturity In reply to priestofknowledge [2009-11-23 19:44:02 +0000 UTC]

True, but can they not be
achieved simultaneously.
I wish for people to come
to decide what I mean and
agree or disagree with that
perspective...

The funny thing is, then
it is no longer my perspective,
but their perception of my
perspective. Haha. It is my joy.

priestofknowledge In reply to NaiveMaturity [2009-11-24 03:50:14 +0000 UTC]

It seems to work both ways for the popular english works. But that's just what the professor tells me. I can't f%$king understand the differences. He tells me to be less overall with my message like a poem about a guy walking through the woods, staring at them, and walking on.

Doesn't teach much despite sounding nice and looking pretty. Sure it says to watch your life pass and respect others' in a way, but the message is not really life-changing, since to understand it you kinda already have to be in that boat.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NaiveMaturity In reply to priestofknowledge [2009-11-24 14:12:57 +0000 UTC]

Haha. You should ask to read some of your
professor's work. It might give you some
insight into his method of thought.
