Do you just use the regular Photoshop 5.o for your work? I was thinking about starting to make my art digital, but not sure what programs to use and I love both of your works so I thought I would ask you. Thanks.

We use programs like Photoshop and Painter. As for the version of Photoshop, it doesn't really matter, I think. :3 It really depends on what functions you plan on using.

Both doujinshi are beautifully illustrated and are gorgeously presented. High quality products; I definately recommend anyone to buy them. The photo prints are perfect; high quality gloss paper and no reduction of quality due to the smaller size!

I was actually recently going through all my old issues of NewtypeUSA, and was surprised that I recognized the image that became the cover for Transience amoung the fan art in the August 2005 issue of Newtype. It had been the Editors/Staff Pick of the month. I was like oh wow! I can't recall but I think the image was what led me to eventually start following Elf, after I followed the link in journal M-Kage had on the doujinshi. It wasn't till re-reading the old issues that the two things clicked, since the journal I believe have links to the preview for the dojinshi cover or something I don't rememeber. But it's awsome to sit there and follow an artist here on DA, yet then also get a chance to catch something of theres in a big magazine like Newtype.

testimony of this product: The book is in good condition and not like the pulp paper Tokyopop uses for their manga. The art was great and the stories imaginative and well orchastrated. And even if you're a vetran or a noob like me to final fantasy 7, You won't be lost that much. Beautiful work and worth the purchase just to have a start to any good doushinji collection.

doujinshi means fanart.. it could be in the form of a comic, artwork or even poster... if im not wrong XD

The meaning of "doujin-shi" is a Japanese term for self-published materials for the purpose of sharing it with people of same interest ("shi" means "books", "doujin" means "similar interests"). They can be also call "indies" and is not for commerical distribution (and therefore no ISBN code or whatever). They can be fan based work (which a lot of them are, ie, print your fan fiction or fan comic of a game, manga or movie into a book), or completely original stuff.
Whether selling it or not depends on the author, but most of the time authors do charge money for materials printed in hard copies. ^^ Because the printing cost is high and they can only afford to do it in low volume...Orz
