I'm a junior in highschool, and I have my mind set on RISD. Do you have any portfolio advice, or just advice on getting in general?

oh no, I didn't realize it was a favorites gallery, my bad.

Hmm, RISD looks for students who have a portfolio that demonstrates lots of technical skill. They like to see work done from observation (from life) as well as creative stuff. I split my portfolio about 40% observational work from life and 60% personal work. Also be sure to keep your grades up in academic classes too, because they consider grades in academic classes more than the average art school. Oh, also, If you have a facebook, there is a woman in admissions at risd who runs a club called "lucy's risd admissions 101." People ask her small questions and she answers them. It's very helpful.
