Thank you! I ink traditionally and clean my scanned pages digitally, as is standard for traditional inkers these days.

Β Thanks for the info!Β I'm new to learning what is standard in art. (I was in school for art but I switched my major. I am still trying to learn without schooling.) Could you explain how you clean digitally? Are you erasing areas that did not quite work or getting rid of marks left from a poor scanner?Β

When I clean up my pages after scanning, I first change it to grayscale and work out the brightness and contrast to get a deep black on inks and to get a more accurate picture out of the pencils. Then yes, I just get rid of marks, fill in areas of black that have lighter inks and do some slight redrawing if needed.
