(Ahh, quite similar to me, I had a year a few back where I watched a number of animes, but then I just sort of stopped. However black butler was the only one I maintained an interest in, I still read the mangas  ))

I watched One Piece through to about 200 something episodes and Detective Conan in about 300+ episodes. I do want to continue that though. I didn't watch anymore of Season 2 of Black Butler because i just..didn't like it. After finishing episode 11 i just.. noped out. I was done. xD  I heard the mangas are better but i have yet to read them. I won't be doing so tonight though. All that i know is that i am a sassy butler but without a Ciel.

(Oh no yes the mangas are substantially better than the tv show, however I do still enjoy it a lot, particularly with the perfect voice actor casting for the english dub vwv  Sebastians voice is just so smooth like butter ghergregdt
I'm sure a ciel will pop up for you eventually hun, usually when people see an active character from a show, it can encourage them to make an account for another character from it as they see theyll have someone to rp with)

I'll see what happens i guess. I love the voice of Sebastian in english as well. They did that so well i actually prefer the english version more. Not that the japanese is bad. I love that one too..i just..never had a show where i love both sides.

No. I do admit i did watch Hetalia and the english dub of it..just makes me cringe bad. The japanese is tolerable and great but the dub isn't even trying to make it funny like the japanese. Just cringy and bad in general. I like Hetalia to some extent but seriously. Be more serious when dubbing. It's my complaint about it.

When people don't make the effort to make a dub from an anime good i won't even bother to watch it. It's an embarrassment to see something you really love from a japanese dubbed anime turned into an english dub and it sounds awful.

It's like they don't even care with the dubbing and that's what Hetalia english dub has become. If you look it up on Youtube. Watch an episode..cause they last 5 minutes. You will just cringe in your seat and turn it off. It's that bad. You know an anime that doesn't even curse once. Well..here you got hetalia which curses all the damn time and swings it around like nothing. It does not fit at all with the tone of the show. Such as Kuroshitsuji is different. It's dark but has it's glorious moments while still being funny. I would just talk on and on about how bad the dubbing is so apologies here.

(No I totally get it! I mean, what the characters say is kind of fundamental to the show. If it's done badly, it changes the whole tone and can very easily make it slip from being dramatic or comedy or whatever into something soo cheesy that you just cringe the whole way through it. I also have to say, it really annoys me how gosh damn HIGH they seem to make every female characters voice in most dubs. I get that Japanese females tend to talk in a higher octave so thats fine when its in their language, but when they then purposefully make some of the english actors speak soooo squeaky its so unnatural and painful to listen to. )

I do notice that. Some of the japanese dubs are lighthearted and sounds kind. But to me..the english dub sounds like a squeaky toy trying to speak. It's not really cute. It's just trying to be something it's not. When a voice actor attempts to copy a voice from it's japanese counterpart. That's a good thing. But..stay in character too.

I do have some guilty pleasures such as some Studio Ghibli movies in norwegian. They are pretty decent voice acted but japanese just wins it in general. Some voice actors are really passionate about making it perfect and i can respect that. Mostly in the past Norway was all for perfection when it came to dubbing but nowadays we don't even care if the mouth or lip syncing doesn't match. It's all an embarrassment from what used to be to what is now. It's like..when a mouth moves..a few seconds pass before they say what they want. It just won't do. I love voice acting. I'd love to try it myself or make a chance for it. I am not very good at it since i am a beginner at that but i do want to be a part of the voice acting community.

(Ohh youre Norwegian? That's so cool, I'm Irish   Sadly you don't usually get dubs in Irish gaelic, so I stick with the english ones.
I went through a phase of wanting to be a voice actor too cx But my true passion is acting in like plays and musicals, plus I'm really self conscious about my voice because I used to have a speech impediment. Luckily not anymore because I went to a speech therapist when I was young, but I'm still really conscious about how I sound.

I reallllyyy want to get into tv acting, I'm trying at the moment but its hard man. Especially in Ireland.
If that's what you want to do go for it! You'll never know how it goes until you try. Any idea what type of shows you'd like to voice act in?)

(Yes. I would like to expand on my english as far as i possibly can. Perhaps make it so my voice acting skills would be heard and recognized as something that can be used. It's probably not the voice people are looking for but i would like to give my chances before i give up. I am not so much for the acting business itself since i freeze the moment i am on stage and i tend to forget my lines rather easily. But as a voice actor..you get your lines and you read them from where you are. No need to practice or remember. At least as far as i have seen.)
