My scanner is poopy, too, but you can always t ake your pics with your cell phonr and send them to your e-mail. :3 Then color them on gimp or SAI or whatever program you have.
You can also do the same with your camera and put the memory card into the computer.

I'd rather scan cuz I do all my inking with a pen and I need it to be high quality once it's digital. I try to do as least as possible on the computer cuz I become a super perfectionist and that's just a major waste of time. lol.
