Oh that's awesome! You're like the first person I've met on here on DA with a character on BC. Sadly, I haven't logged in for quite some time. I'm in the guild Ars Astrum, but I spent most of my time PVP'n with close friends from STI (Sick Twisted Individuals) and Company. Wow... it's been a long while.

I'm mostly playing the GTN right now because the friend I play with regularly is indisposed, but I'm well poised to get everything I want from the next Cartel pack without spending a single penny of real money. Β Also, I stink at PvP... so none-a that for me.

Yeah... I was about average at it, but I played with an awesome group of people. I used to play with Currik, Miniblam/Ennya, Urdnot, Orizonta, Maddrago, ArocaSixx, and others from Company. It was a lot of fun, and I miss them a lot. The rendering CG thing is very addictive though!

You can download Daz Studio for free, if your wanting to give it a try. The software is free and comes with some basic characters and some tutorials. Additional content (new characters, clothing, props, and sets) can be purchased through Daz and other vendors, but the free stuff works good for getting your feet wet, and to see if you like it.

Mmmm... yeah, blender... It's good software, but it's a bear to learn. Very disorganized I thought. I still use it for converting .3ds formatted models to an .obj format for impot into Daz. Yep... I don't blame you one bit for not understanding Blender, I couldn't either!

Not that Daz doesn't have it's share of broken help links, lol, but I do think it's easier to learn. Now mastering Daz... that may take some time.

Yeah... I just went through the first tutorial, and it really doesn't seem to teach you anything other than "You'll want to buy everything you can to put the pretty pieces together."

Lol... Yeah, the software itself is free... The content, not so much. There are some sights out there, like sharecg.com, that have loads of free stuff, but you would still need to get some content from Daz, Renderosity, or RuntimeDNA. The main difference between the 2 programs, is that blender is mainly used for making content, Daz is used for rendering/animating the premade content that can be customized. Blender can also render and animate as well, but it's not as user friendly as Daz.
